looks good man! when i was doin my swap i had orginally made a shock mount like yours with a bracket off to the left of the ears of the shock bushings. but after talking to john from composimo he was telling me that having a bracket like this can "snap" off those shock mount ears because insead of your weight being pushed straight down onto the bushing/ears like they are designed for, it is pulling the ears to the left and putting stress on that aluminum that it isnt designed for.

Been working on wiring and mounted my carb:




Ended up pulling the stock harness out and am building one from scratch. Back half is all wired minus the tail light. Headlights are running on AC power. Main power fuse and relays are done, just a matter of wiring up the lights and horn. Also need to customize my exhaust to fit, and buy a fuel pump.

Yeah I just felt like with the fatty there was a huge gap on this side of the motor. I wanted to fill up that open space so the bike looks a little more balanced. We'll see how it works out, I still need to come up with a mount for the carb so it isn't just hanging off the end of the pipe.



Cool man, we'll have to ride soon! Don't tell boomer about all this, kinda keeping this little project a secret til its done.

Got quite a bit done-- wiring is completely finished, exhaust is tacked, moved the carb as the lower setup was giving me trouble. Maybe I need to jet it? Or maybe the air/fuel mixture doesn't like traveling uphill? Not sure.



Made some decals for me and my friends rucks, to put on after the paint is done.

This thing rips pretty good!!!

EDIT: Wobble turned out to be crappy eBay wheel!!!!!! Bought a Douglas red label and almost all wobble is gone.

New wheel is on the way to see if that is what is causing the wobble. Ordered a Douglas Red Label, 10x8 3+5 in .190. Should be here Friday. Started painting:
