Thanks Raul! I think I know what you're speaking of

These wheels are pretty much what the frame is going to look like - also dropped off some new 19" wheels to be matched for the exfizzle too

SOO DOPE!. Gimme a call when you're working on that thing tomorrow. I'll be free after 5 and if you're still wrenching, I would love to see what's going on with this build in person. :banger: :banger:

This is so much fun building this bike after an entire year of down time!

Since so many changes were made, and then revamped from there, the colors are a bit off. I have 5 different rear frames to choose from - some matte black powdered accessories, painted rear frame in black and another in green, gold wheels, red password accessories, etc.. I'm all over the place at the moment.

In the next few weeks, I'll decide on a two color theme and get it down to business. Maybe the rear frame will turn to gold to match the wheels? Who the F knows! I just wanna ride! :banger:  :banger:

CRASHED AND BURNED

Image

Watch out on the left turns with your centerstand and sidestands folks! It will cause the ruckus to slide out from under you when you least expect it.

Damage so far...

New CRG levers are bent
CRG mirror in a dozen pieces
Carbon fiber bars damaged and indented from master cylinder
Carbon TRC scratched up
Carbon fan cover damaged
clutch bell damaged
Headlight bracket damaged
Axle pullers - did their job - damaged
Jspeed grips damaged
Seat cover damaged
Gas tank corner damaged

--

scraped knees
Shoei helmet did it's job - time to replace!
Sore legs, lower body
Very minimal road rash.
saddened soul

Next up... DO-OVER!! :XD

LOTS o' tricks!

I'm thankful that I'm alive and able to type this up. For a few moments I was certain that I would part this out and focus on my z125 build.. But alas, my senses came to me and I knew.. that the ruckus is in my blood and is here to stay! :banger: :banger: :banger:

Dude, glad your ok! Sorry about your Ruck man, but you're right it can be fixed/replaced you can't. Good luck on the rebuild.

Btw, what actually caught the ground? A combo of both or the side?

Thanks man.. It was scary as shit.. Just when I thought I had full control, the ruckus spun around so quickly, I had zero chance to correct the skid.

I removed the center stand, but left the bracket intact to protect the aluminum cases since the bike is so low.. I even shaved the bracket down in numerous spots, but even then, there was too much exposure. It would always scrape and I KNEW I couldn't take hard left turns..

I was on a test ride after having installed the DR2 variator a few moments earlier..

Silly me for making the same mistake twice. You can betcha the v2 ruckus will have an integrated kickstand that sits high, and WILL NOT have the bracket on the bottom to catch again

I know exactly what you mean. I've dropped my Ruck before and you don't even have time to react.
Good work on the helmet, to many people don't!

Sucks about your accident and I'm glad your ok, but I'm confused reading this. is your bike that low or does it have something to do with the GY6 centerstand. I removed my centerstand but left the mounting bracket attached (like you described) but have never had an issue with the mounting bracket or kickstand contacting ground on turns. This is common?
