If any of you P-Town folks are in town this weekend... Keeping the Portland Fam in the loop with Seattle meetups!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who can make this??? Since we have our own scoots we can roll them. I guess Scoot About is putting it on. They are super nice people. even if we don't rent it would be nice to show up and support them.
Info: Rentals are $30 for the first hour and $10 for every half hour after. Wear a leather jacket and bring an orange bandanna! (I'll check in with attendees and get bandannas for those who need them). Our route is going to take us up Westlake, through Discovery Park, up and around Green Lake and then back down through Eastlake. The whole trip will be under 2 hours.
Anyone is welcome! You only need a regular drive'rs license to rent a 49cc scooter. If you have a motorcycle license, you can rent up to 150cc for more cash. Motorcycles over 150cc and cars are *not* welcome to join.
RESERVATION INFO - You can only reserve if you have a coupon or rent all day for $75. I tried to negotiate with them, but it's first come first serve only. - If you have a Living Social coupon, give me the voucher # ASAP and I will make a reservation. - Everyone else, get to Scoot About by 12:45 and get on a wait list if there is one. There shouldn't be since it's not summer yet. - Bring a credit card. They're going to charge a fully refundable deposit in case of accidents. - Questions? Ask me or call Scoot About at 206-407-3362
Cheers! Ho-Train

Tired of your crew gettn drug into negative TRama? I can dig it Seth. Money buys stuff...not respect or freinds. It doesn't matter if Killerscooter, Rucksters, or DST builds your scooter for you because your not mechanically inclined if you douche enough people...no one will like you. Ruckst"a"rs just got cooler in my book.

Come Ride With Us... To Portland’s Rose Gardens (Followed by a hosted BBQ) What is more fitting for a Portland scooter ride than a Rose Garden Tour? Join us as we visit Portland’s three major rose gardens: Ladd’s Addition, the International Gardens and the Peninsula Gardens. Weather permitting, after the last stop we will ride about 3 miles to a member’s home for a BBQ. The OSC will provide burgers, hot dogs, potato salad and soft drinks. All scooter enthusiasts are invited to the BBQ, even if they do not participate in the ride. We will hand out slips with the BBQ address at the pre-ride talk. If you can’t make it to the ride, but want to come to the BBQ call Rick Fletcher at 503-539-9148 on the day of the ride for the address and time to arrive. This will be a shorter ride, about 25 miles and is 50 CC friendly. The top speed will be 30 MPH. Join us in the parking lot for a pre-ride talk at noon; kick stands up immediately after the pre-ride talk. BBQ a round 3:00 PM. Check the events page on Saturday 6/4/11 if the weather is questionable for a BBQ. The ride and BBQ is open to all scooters and motorcycles, OSC members and non-members. If you won’t be riding that day, or family/friends want to participate, feel free to join us in a car.
Here is what you need to do to participate:
1. Watch the group riding video for tips on an enjoyable ride.
3. Learn the route by studying the ride map in any of the following formats: Garmin Mapsource, Google Maps Leg 1 and Leg 2, or GPX Exchange. Please print you own map, as paper maps will not be handed out at the meet up.
4. Do a safety check on your scooter and arrive at your meet up location with a full tank of gas (A gas station on Interstate Ave., just a few blocks North of the Overlook restaurant). Here is a suggested check list.
5. Be at your bike with all gear on except your helmet and gloves at noon for a ride briefing.
6. Plan on having fun!
Questions? Call OSC President Rick Fletcher at 503-539-9148.
