Fabricators should be in a different league. I mean regular riders can only do so much and are literally at the mercy of what's available in the market. There should be a rider classification say Fabricator (riders who have a shop and equipments that they can do their own weld or so), Professional (riders who have modified other scooters before but has to sought help from others), Avid (riders who have owned their scoot for quite sometime and has constantly modify their bike), Novice (riders who just owned their scoot for a year or less). This will give other riders a chance to play and harness their imagination without being pressured. There are so many bikes in the forum that deserves some kind of attention but putting them side by side on some of the bikes that several Fabricators made? Come on! Now what if a rider spends money and have a fabricator make him one. What classification does he fit in? Professional, for the simple reason that he sought help to build his bike. This is just my opinion. Again by classifying the entrees you can fairly look at the bike in the right perspective. Just like the competition in the car audio or any competition for that matter.

Also what would be nice is to enumerate the modifications on the bike. Price will also be interesting to include labor hours as to give the public the idea of the money/work spent. And then at the end of the year all levels can compete for the top dog position or centerfold. Also if you can eliminate people from quoting in the thread (just vote) so we can just look right to it without having to go thru different pages would be nice. Nomination thread should be separate from the actual voting thread.

And how can you determine whether you are a fabricator?

Doesn't composiMo only do the fabrication on the side as a hobby? Everyone has voted and it looks like everyone needs to step there game up. But I really don't think there should be different classifications. There is one ride of the month and then next month there will be another, and I beleave the winner can't be up for next month. There is 12 months in a year last time I checked :dubious:

Like rotorracing said... there are only a handful of fabricators on here. So I think the way to do it is not make different classifications, but use the rules to make things fair. Anyone nominated cant be nominated next month, and the winner cant be nominated for a year. So, if all fabricators were nominated in one month, they would be up against only each other. It is up to the voters to decide who should win, so maybe next month, all nominations should be guys that arent fabricators, but thats really up to everyone to decide as a whole. When it comes down to it though, TR ride of the month should be the baddest bike of all the nominations, not necessarily the guy who's done the best with the smallest bank account, but a good background story can definitely sway voters.

You don't have to be a fabber to come up with new and cool ideas. You can do a lot with the help of others if you need. Around 808 there are a lot of real good builds goin on. Lots of builders WORKING TOGETHER! :rich

A build is a build is a build is a build. Bronze Bomber was built with a grinder and a saw and some hard work.

I think composimo's is nice an all, but I would have liked to see it with something other than the gy6. I think too much work was put into it to make it custom to run the same engine as everyone else.

My vote goes to vtecdiablo.
