So. This is where it all begins.

2006 Metropolitan
Red/White
9000+ Miles
3rd Owner
Completely stock
Purchased June 18, 2016

My plan is:
GET Metruck

Parts already purchased:
Ruck rear end (frame, swingarm, wheel, tire)
Polini Variator
Mnnthbx Fork Springs
RPG Engine Stretch w/ Shock Mount
NCY coilover shock
Mnnthbx Intake Kit
Briggs Exhaust (temporary)

Parts in Limbo:
Mojo Front Wheel Inserts

Parts still needed:
Dr. Pulley sliders
Pink clutch springs
Yellow eBay Contra spring (  ConElite)
10x5 Mini fatty or 12x5 mini fatty
Oil Slick or Graffiti hydrodip
Custom pieces and aesthetics for a clean look.

Since I bought it, I changed the oil. It was DIRTY BLACK
It needs a cleaning bad.
Also have a spark plug and fuel filter I'm going to change.
Then gonna clean the carb and delete the restrictor plate.

Pulled off the airbox and noticed there was a small amount of gas in it. Someone on FB told me the scooters are set to be a little rich from the factory and it looked pretty normal. I'm probably gonna leave the stock airbox off and put a filter on the end of the stock intake hose for now.

Started to try to pull out the carb so I can clean it. I guess I should check the valve shim while it's apart.

As much as I'd like to post a pic of my scoot next to my car at this photo spot, they closed the entrance to this place about six months ago.
Lowered the front about another inch since then.

Success :banger:

Just need to know if I need to replace the MJ with an OEM Ruck jet since I removed the restrictor plate also? I asked the same question in the NOOb thread, but didn't get a response yet. :meh:

I also bought a Polini from u/takenotes. Can't wait to start tuning.

Having fun yet? :banger: Ruckus MJ? I would think yes, especially if mike155 said so. If you havent bought a tach yet, do so, probably most important thing you need for tuning.
If your speedo tabs are broken you can have my whole speedo assembly, its red though.

Thanks for the Polini u/takenotes :highfive:
I already cut the rubber bearing out of the inside of it like ConElite demonstrated so the boss rotates freely. :banger:

Image

How she sits right now...

ImageImage

How do I get this drum off the front wheel? :?:

...and the rubber "bearing" is not supposed to be sticking out of the wheel like that is it :?:

You're right,

Guy is using google photo, he needs to set the album or pictures to public.
