if you make a center shock tubing mount on the engine
like I made to mount my seat on my mini bike

you can just weld a tab to the tubing for the stock shock and keep the normal angle its supposed to have

like in this pic, this is a met swingarm so its 4 inches shorter then a ruckus
but you can get the idea on what I call the center shock tubing mount
the red is where it bolts onto the stock shock tab

the green would be where you can weld a new tab for the shock
this way all the stress of the shock pushes down onto the tubing, and the load is spread out

Image
in that photo above I still needed to add another brace so its not shown
but I believe my build thread showed the brace and where it went

this is just a quick reference photo showing a center shock tubing mount
its pretty easy to make with a torch and some tubing its only one bend
I may have even used my pipe bender I use to bend electrical pipe to bend it dont remember

Ive been super busy with school but I've had some time to order stuff and this weekend I was able to get down to the shop and do some more work!

I decided to take the front end apart. Hopefully clean up the wheel and start figuring out wiring!

Image

I bought an adapter from Mike155 to make my shock mount closer! Sweet seller and had it here in no time! I am using an old Zuma shock for now...
This is normal height

Image

This is with my buddy sitting on it

Image

I love how low it sits!

Then we decided to start working towards the wiring... Firth thing on the list was to try and make the ECU a little bit smaller.... We might be being stupid to try and cut it but it looked like it was extra metal.

Image

Then we decided to make the under space combined to hopefully have everything hidden when we are done!

Image

Getting closer to connecting the two areas

Image

Thankful for a great friend to help me work on projects! We are also in the middle of redoing his RUCKUS!!!

Image

Alright Noob question for the day!!!!
I am getting so confused at what is needed and what is extra but on my met I have this thing.... Its pretty close to my seat
Image

I am 99% positive its the PCV Solenoid not 100% sure. I am wondering do I need it to run the bike? I will be running the stock exhaust on the bike and i will not be running the stock airbox.... If I decided to not run it will the bike still run if the wires are not plugged into the harness?

if you follow the hose it goes to the chain tensioner on the engine
they put in a nipple the pcv allows air to suck in

so you can remove everything
go to autozone get a plastic pcv valve and install on the engine, so it sucks in air
put a tiny filter on it

you dont need the electrial pcv connected just unplug and remove

Hey Everyone sorry for no updates, We have been trying to crank out my buddies GY6-Ruckus for a trip that we have planned in a couple of weeks to conneticut. We have enlarged the area for the ECU and we have painted the wheels but thats as far as we have gotten. Im hoping to get her wired up this weekend though!

Yeah we didn't have safely glasses and we really wanted to crank it out... Stupid.. I know

Worked again tonight, Did some Grinding trying to make everything look semi clean...

My first thought of where the ECU is going to go...

Image

Only issue is then under my seat looks like this....

Image

Then I thought what If I moved the ECU underneath the bike, I could make a little stand for it....
