Acquired in March 2015 with 1070 miles on her. So new and shiny! A back-up so that I can ride when Rudy is down for servicing.

There were so many black Ruckii in town that I needed to distinguish her from all the others, plus all Black is so Boring...

Image

Switched out front of BBox for Rudy's red one, and the old Rudy red seat frame.

Also put the front half of Rudy's BBox onto Lucy (and traded the black one onto Rudy).
Added some semi-temporary leg shields to Lucy, white LDPE with red Contact(tm) brand sticky vinyl -- a pretty darn good match to Honda Fighting Red!

Put some other pieces from Rudy onto Lucy (underseat storage; painted airbox cover).
Added a rear rack bought from a TR member.

Image

(strange rack -- why in heck is it so angled? Seems like it should be flat, parallel with the ground, to be most useful...
perhaps if I lower the seat, I will adjust it accordingly)

I made a bracket to hold the tach on Lucy's handlebars, next to the speedo.
Started with a strip of galvanized steel, with the edges folded back to make it stiffer. Did a little bending and cutting...

Image

Attached it under one of the speedo nuts

...and stuck the tach on with velcro. ta da.

I bought a rack too, mine is the same way, slanted. Plus I sit way back on the seat, I can barely make use of it because of I could actually sit on the rack and ride. Poor design... Almost a waste of money...almost.

Yes, it should be level, it should meet the top of the stock taillight.
If (when) I lower the seat, I'll attempt to shorten those two legs so it sits more level.
Hmph. It does not even match the angle of the rear frame!

In lieu of deciding on the purchase of a larger windscreen, for the time being I installed the original one I made for Rudy way back when... Also installed the wind mittens for winter. Will need to put the grip heaters underneath soon. Going down to single digits tonight! (it might finally be winter here)

They are wraparounds that go over the stock grips:

http://www.aerostich.com/aerostich-warm-wrap-grips.html

Only draw 1.6 amps, and the faster you go, the hotter they get!
I highly recommend!

(hey I just noticed I'm now a "Dirty Sanchez" -- :!: :!: :!: )

Image

Brother-un-law got a small lathe and is looking for projects... Ima pull a flywheel and send it to him.
I've collected as many photos and before/after weights I can find from JC's and other people's threads.
Anyone have advice I can give him about how best to go about this?

Excited to try this out! Lucy needs a boost!

Pulled the flywheel off my Ruck Butt (the one with 9800 miles on it).
Full of dirt!
Weight 985 grams (2 lbs 2.7 oz)

 Post subject: Delivery from Web!ke
PostPosted: Sat Jan 30, 2016 12:57 pm
Placed an order with Web!ke in the evening on Jan 25; was surprised this morning by delivery of a package from Japan! That's 4-1/2 days-- ??!! Wow!

Image

Next: waiting on adjustable handlebars from AliExpress... also placed evening of Jan 25.

I placed both of these orders with some trepidation, not knowing how long they might take or whether I'd actually get them.
Very pleased that Web!ke came through, and so quickly!
