So the ruck worked like a charm for a week and on Friday I stopped at a light on my way home, she stalled and would not start back up. I've replaced the battery so the starter works now and ive checked for spark (by taking the spark plug out and ground it against the frame, plenty of blue spark there).

I'm getting fuel to the bowl of the carb but I do think it's getting to the engine. The auto enricker is still there but I've cut off the wires to it since there's no where for me to plug it in to.

Kinda lost now.

Did it. It ran for a day and then it stalled while going down the street. :headbashing:

So after giving her the cold shoulder for being temperamental, I finally looked at the wiring and the cable that grounds the harness to the motor had come loose from the connector. Put a new connector on, grounded it again and like magic she started. Took her for a ride around the block and no problems...so far :meh:

Rucksanne has been behaving lately. She is not a fan of the last 1/8 of the gas tank and acts up a little but if she's fed se likes to roll. Even when we've had teperatures around the 30s. The only thing I need to do is warm up the engine a little before I take her out and she behaves.

Also the new engine has 180ish miles on it now. :banger:
Since the ruck is my daily driver I've been putting around 10 miles or so on it daily. As long as there's no rain, snow or ice I've been riding it to work (midland drivers aren't the gratest so I'd rather not risk riding with the added danger of inclement weather).

As you can see above I got some red grips to replace the original ones. It gives it a little more character if you ask me.

Also I received this mini turbine air horn for Christmas from one of my friends.
Image

It's about 2.5 times thicker than the OEM one but it does sound a whole lot different.

I had the original one tucked inside the BB but since the speedo sits in there, it's a bit full in there at the moment. Luckily I hadn't grinded off the original mounting bracket for the horn so I used it to mount the baby air horn. I had to bend it down some to clear the rubber headlight boots.

Image

But even then the lines of the horn line up with the headlight bracket so you can't really tell it's there.

Image

Can't wait to test it out at the office. :banger2:

Gotta wait for summer to get interns but we have an army of trainees that would do just fine :highfive:
