Getting some work done. Gonna stick with the stock CVT. Cut out the clutch area to allow more air to flow through. Still need to clean up the edges.

Really digging this build. I too am in the process of going GY6 so I'm gonna follow you closely haha.

Quick question.....what bracket are you using for that speedo cable?? Thanks.

Thanks bro. :highfive:

Are you talking about the bracket that is holding the sensor for the speedo cable? If so, it came with with my koso speedo. Probably can buy off of Ebay.

If you're talking about the cable guide that on Ebay. It's called "Front Cable Guide for Yamaha Honda Suzuki Kawasaki Ninja BWS Bracket -Silver". Here's the link http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_nkw=N ... 2749.l2658. It's really cheap and made of metal.

Maybe I see you on the islands. I frequent there often. Got some ohana off of the Pali hwy. :banger:

Had some time this week to finally get this motor mounted. The biggest hurdle was using my current stretch, centering the rear wheel, and avoid the head of the motor from sagging.

Did a lot of grinding and shaving to at least get the stretch to accept the motor, but after three days I got it mounted.

Ran into an issue of the lowdown NCY shock not aligning with the rear mount point due to the angle. Had to shave the inside of the shock to fix the issue. After a few adjustment to the height of the shock this was the result bottom is how I started off, top pic now with minimal head sag. Stoked how it came out. More than likely I'll have to cut into the bin to fit the carb.

Right on :highfive:

Yeah... I've seen a white Met on #themetlove IG that had a swap that was pretty rad, but still had the head of the motor drooping down. My mission was to minimize that. Next week I'm gonna tackle the wiring. :banger:

Wiring the OEM harness with the GY6 motor. OEM fuel pump and ECU is the only way to go :banger:

I love wiring said no one ever :headbashing:
