This is the scooter i bought for my 16 year old daughter. My family flipped out on me due to the dangers involved, and she was actually a little nervous on it, so it never got used. But I loved this thing. I was internet searching maintenance tips when i saw a picture of a stretched Met. Awesome. That led to a youtube video of mike155 stretching a Met in 5 minutes. No problem, I got this... (Yeah right) Anyways after months of buying used junk parts from ebay I found TR... I could have saved time and money if I Met you guys first.

Before i modified my Met, i would scrape the guide track for my rolling gate. So in all my unguided wisdom i convinced myself to jack up my ride. This is the NORTH SHORE, we all lift our shit up, no biggie. I bought stock front shocks and had a friend add 2 inches. Mike155 sold me a rear shock adapter which he leaves long for us to drill where we like. I set it to the highest I could.
Anyway, here is what happen

Pretty dorky :headbashing:

Thought my friend did a good job though, and now in my grand visualization of things to come would like to see angle on triple tee changed so i can use these without the lift but stretched out a bit and keeping the Met fender. HAH! Who knows, probably look ridiculous again.

If you're not too attached to the reflectors on the front fender search for "Z50 emblem" on ebay. They're about the same size and there are various styles/colors or just chrome. I was thinking of using those to replace mine. You might also see the interesting headlight visor that comes up in that search. Anyway, just a suggestion for you to look at. I like the bike though. It has a cool hot rod stance and look with the plumper in the back and the pizza cutter in the front.

Nice met. I like that tach but the manual ones accuracy scares me. It's good to be different.

Originally i was thinking about all red and chrome, but started looking like a cheap hooker, boring and all stock. Then i saw some primer colored racing scooters with awesome yellows wheels, and decided on a red with yellow trim bike. Spent a whole day making 4 wheel covers, with only 1 set painted and installed. Trying to save my money for a blaster or i would have just bought them. I can only afford about$100 a month on this project  painted some$15 mirrors to match and called it a day. The whole next day at work I worried about my color choice, saw this on my way home
Image
When I put it all together I got this
Image
My wifed called it a a McDonalds scooter(and other things). Whatever, but with colors like this, I better make it faster!

Ive been thinking hard, maybe to much into the look of this thing. Maybe like the '60's, 70's Japanese action shows I watched as a kid. Real bright and FOB, but not overkill and goofy. Just the right mix of then and now. Kikaida, kamen rider, starblazers, robotech a little retro Mod type scooter action too, yet current. And fast. If not fast, then its like a clown car.
