NVM rhonda is not running fierce. these fuckin valves man. I'm replacing my engine this time. hopefully this weekend.

Is it easy enough to swap just the motor and not the swing arm? That's my plan./

It's at a friends storage locker. Changed the engine out today. Most went smooth, started right up... but then after a trying to fix an idle issue it didn't start again

Started and was revving way too high. Seemed like the butterfly in carb was lagging. Hit throttle and let go and it would climb after releasing.

Think I flooded it, trying again tomorrow. Probably will clean the carb just cause. Carb and exhaust are mine so I know they were fine before..

Also paid way too much for a motor just so I could definitely have it done this weekend. So much for that.

What was it doing!? That very well could be it. The screw was stripped and couldn't get it to tighten well.

Kind of ghost throttling at idle, suddenly revving up.
Hope you figured it out!

So I replaced carb boot, worked. Idle's great, takes off like a bat outta hell... then goes into limp mode.

Overheating somehow. Tried burping the radiator with no luck. tried changing the thermostat, no luck. tried pinching the hoses from radiator, no luck.

Gave up. Back at it again tonight I guess.

Didn't get to it. Rhonda is in a storage locker away from home and the dudes are not available all the time so basically i can go work when they are there.

I'm dying without her. lol Plan is oil check/change, coolant flush, water pump swap. In that order, trying after each time.

Hope you get it figured out. I've only had overheating issues one time, and it turned out to be a stuck thermostat, but you've already changed that. And you've burped it. Maybe check the temp sensor wire for a good connection. :meh:

Bike looks great, I hope you can iron out the issues soon.

How do you know when a bike is in limp mode and how do you burp the radiator? Two things I've been wondering for a while.
