picked up a Dorf and Jock from MNNTHBX and a lowered stock tail light bracket from ebay.

Dorf and the bracket where simple enough but the Jock Strap took some work.

what I did was install the Jock without the floorboard measured down from the bottom of the BB.
Then installed the floorboard and drilled a hole an 8th of an inch lower.
Image

with a sharpie i drew the basic shape making sure to center it and keeping my lines straight up and down.
Then made my ruff cut with a Dremel Multi-Max (seen below) then cleaned it up with a utility knife.
Image

after a lot of test fits and fine tuning with a very sharp razor blade.

So far I love it. The only snag is the fuel door. But I think i'm just going to get rid of the hinge and that should
take care of that, if its even an issue. Haven't had to get gas yet - love that!

My GET is still to slow to go very far with my fat ass. I'm waiting on some sunny days to start tuning- hoping to make it to the next meet. Looking forward to seeing all the local Rucks.

I'll try to knock out the install of the tach and front forks this weekend.

HA I wish I could say its winter weight... more like 6 winters worth.

I'm an idiot... tach not set up correctly- fixed the problem

Got the mount for the GPS on and took off the parts that are getting powder coated.

It feels like one step forward three steps back :meh:

No sun in the forecast so i'll focus on figuring out my idle issues.

Love the way you did that Jock strap.
As for the RPM gauge, I have been having a very hard time getting mine to not fluctuate so much.
I found that if I just take the end of the wire and zip tie it to the plastic shielding of the spark plug wire, (no wrapping it) I get about a 30-40 RPM fluctuation. Try that and see if it helps.
I was told not to expect perfection with these tachs, I have also noticed that there are delays in the readings.
This really bugs me so sometime in the future I am going to get a tach that is more precise.

I wish i could blame the gauge. its my ruck that has a jumpy idle. I'm thinking it just sat too long at the dealership and/or it just hasn't had time to settle in (only 10 miles on it). Either way, I'm not doing any performance mods till I figure it out and get some miles in it.

Loved the sunshine on Friday :banger: But yea I need some gear to go out in the rain. Its surprisingly cold.

Finally installed the RRGS forks and now I need to lower the front fender. HA  1 step forward 2 steps back.
I think i'll use a longer bolt and spacer to lower it.
Don't want to buy a new one and don't want to be without one -so it will have to do for now.

It took me a few hours but most of that time was spent making my jack stand.
I used a Harbor Freight furniture dolly and some wood and it worked like a charm.

I installed the Kijima windscreen and rear view mirrors from Webike. Love'em.

Still waiting on 2 boxes. One from Battlescooter and the other from MX Perf.

Jock is off getting powder coated. Should get it back on Tuesday.
