I bought an 2008 Ruckus new. It's been thru many changes. I will say, I did spend waaaay too much on the GET version.
If you're gonna swap, don't waste your time with GET upgrades.

This is the current state. It's winter here, so it sits Seafoam'd and covered in my garage.

Beginning the mods. Hind sight dictates that I should have done one mod at a time...... Lesson's learn'd.

Mid paint job. Disc brake installed. Thinking of replacing the footrest with something simpler

Striped down exhaust.... Just grinded the hell out of it. Red gloss vinyl seat cover. Since removed. Didn't like it at all really

Still in the beginnings of the mod process. Early last summer '09

The yosh pipe and the Skull rad cover. Want it to pop more (cover), so I might paint it or the rad a bit.... ?

I agree. A lite sanding (steel wool) and the paint takes quite well.

Just did the electric starter relocation under the seat. Works great! One less thing on the bars. Still waiting on the word from Ruckuslife.com, to see if they can make the Doppler Bars work or if I could score some sweet rPro Monster Drag Bars!!!

Added some minor cosmetic touches the last few days. Notably, is the reinstatement of the duel (stock) headlights.
Relocated the Electric start button under the seat!!!!!
Once this thing is up and running (with Bars), I'll take a mini-photo shoot. Whatevs.

btw, in talks with Standard Functions to see if I can score a "ATR GY6 10x7 Fatty engine swap"!!!!! They are away for a bit, but when they come back, I feel I'm gonna drop some serious coin on this scooter

We definitely need to do a photoshoot. Looking good.
Maybe this weekend if my jets come in and I get my ruck running right. Otherwise we could shoot them in my alley. Heh.

Stuff being sent off to fellow TR- ComposiMo, for powder coating. Some really fun ideas there. :banger:

Got my new seat cover in the other day! I think it looks great. Got a Veypor + a mount also.
Completely cleaned/organized the garage last night.
The waiting game now. So----
