Made a mount for my gps, it's a piece of sheet metal I bent and drilled a hole to mount off the side mirror.

Yeah, the main purpose for me is the speedo function on the gps to see accurate top speed numbers.

Just bought another scooter, a 2002 Derbi GP1  . It needs a new top end and hopefully thats all it needs.

Been thinking of adding a gps. Not too much drain on the battery? Or you keep it on the battery tender regularly?

My gps has a internal battery so it doesn't need to be plugged in. I was thinking about rigging up a cig lighter or usb jack to plug in the gps charger but don't know if I'll ever get to it.

Here's the newest project, a derbi gp1. I have all the body panels, just waiting on a new 70cc top end to be shipped here from the UK. People make a lot of claims about how fast these derbi scooters are, It's the first non honda scooter I've ever owned.

I've been hitting over 60mph on some high speed test runs, a little scary going that fast on a aero 50. I thought I'd be hitting mid 60's but my pipe might be limiting performance or this old nh125 is a little tired. But it does accelerate off the line very well and that's what really matters when the speed limit is 35-45mph everywhere in town.
