Post subject: MetZoomer build "Charcoal" COMPLETED PICS ON PAGE 6!
PostPosted: Wed Oct 05, 2016 8:06 am
Time to start a thread about my new winter build. Firstly, in Norway we don´t have the Meteropolitan scooter and we don´t have the Ruckus, we have the Zoomer. So i´m going to build a MetZoomer. I have gotten a lot of warnings about it beeing to much work since I have to relocate basically all the electronics to a new place. Since the Met plastics don´t have the same room as the batterybox. I Think it will go quite nice even though. I have a solution for this. I will come back to it when I start building it.

Here are some shots of how it looked when I bought it. It wasn´t running so I had to replace the whole harness to get it going again, but I got it for cheap for like 430$.

The Met plastics I bought used from the States. Found a guy, Kenneth Johnson who was nice enough to part out his bike and sell me the parts.
Image

Parts mocked up on the Zoomer. Looks like shit with stock wheels and no stretch... Well they fit so I was happy!
Image

Replacement of harness.
Image

Cleaning the motor. Its going to be mat black.
Image

Got this muffler quite cheap on ebay. Possibly cutting it and shortening it.
Image

High rise header is in the mail.
Image

Needed a stem adapter. Which is on its way from ZenKustoms. The met plastics har higher than the batterybox on the zoomer and ruckus.
Image

New seat cover from HTmoto. Fitment was great
Image

I used the same brake setup on my Zoomer so I got the same for this bike.
Image

Some inspiration pics of bikes I think look cool.
Image
Image

The bike will be stretched 10" on a Mojo fatty kit. Wheels are beeing made as we speak at MachinedMachines. This time 2-piece wheels

Stay tuned for a unique build. I havent heard anyone build a MetZoomer before.

Ørjan.

Not much to write about yet. Got a pic from MachinedMachines of the first completed part of my wheels. This is the front wheel. Barrels are going to be black.

Got some bits from steady garage. The most important part was the highrise header. I´m making a custom exhaust. Cutting down the length of this generic muffler I found on ebay. It´s going to be almost half the length its now.

Dismantled it

Fresh brake pads are always nice

Painted the whole motor black

Some rubber renewer on the hoses make them look new
Image

Btw. Finished the front end conversion on Phil Diesel. The green bike.

Well I said I would make a custom exhaust, then I got an opportunity to buy the new model from Hotlap that Minimotolab and Hotlap are going to sell in a couple of months. So I bought it. Great quality as always. This is the Hotlap Futomaki. Did a quick mockup on the motor.

Image

Here is a shot from Minimotolab. This is the exact same exhaust I bought.

Got this brake fluid reservoir today, its not going to be used for brake fluid but to replace the ugly stock radiator overflow reservoir.

Since the new Hotlap Futomaki don´t have the option of installing a silencer cap on the end i made drawings so a friend of mine will make a silencer cap for it. This new design does not have a lip so the silencer cap will be fastened with 4 set screws that will wedge it in there.
