Dropped a 75 main in the carb to start with and it cranked and ran great it gets a little sluggish when she really gets to operating temp. I think I might put a 72 main next time I ride.

75 is stock main jet... seems like you should be UP-jetting with the new intake. Why would you drop to a 72??

(interesting that you still have the stock airbox on -- perhaps there's a leak and that's why you have sluggishness)

It wasn't stock, the hose I had was way too long and I was running an 82mj with my previous hose. The 75 was just my starting point but it was time to head home and it ran well. It only gets sluggish from 36 to 42 mph and only after riding for about 20 min so I figured hotter air means less oxygen which would make the mixture richer. It starts and runs perfect from a cold start (36°f). I'll check for leaks next time I ride. :highfive:

Did an oil change today at 1300mi and swapped to a 72 mj checked for air leaks didnt find any. It ran more consistently as it warmed up. Took a few glamour shots after just to update.

so today i finally made another attempt at shaving the nipple on the drive face to get some more top end out of her now that ive got the engine running good and im bouncing the rev limter on the flats with the speedo only just above the 40 mark. i tried once before and botched it. this time i got it flat and even i took off about .6mm just enough that the splines are flush with the nipple (if you've done this you know what i mean) so i marked my variator before i did it and after and i got the belt higher on the varo and my speedo is over the left side of the temp light dont know what that is but its faster then i was before (i'll try my phone speedo on the way home and a real gps next time i ride) i did have to find a spacer that was bigger than the splines to put behind the kickstart washer because the splines were out just a hair and i didnt want to fudge the splines as im at work and gotta ride it back home. so now ive got to get a scale and start shaving my weights. i can still hit the limiter while tucking but it takes a while. my rpms are in the high 7000's until the speedo is pointing just befor the 40mph mark. i think i just need to shave a little off my sliders and be in a sweet spot.

Did you notice much difference in takeoff and acceleration after the nipple shave?

it will come to Florida and will be at the front of the storage box so I can get to it without too much trouble. Gotta see what all the hype is about with the Florida air.

Absolutely it was slower off the line and up to indicated 30mph I'm not sure if i wanna shave the start of the ramp or try lightening up my sliders first. My rpms dropped so I think I'll shave some weights first.

So I forgot that it takes forever to get approved by a condo association so I'm still at my mom's with my grandfather and my brother and his girlfriend and my wife and baby and three dogs and three cats.

So I'm a little stressed. So that brings me to my story had a dream that the stress of getting a place in miami pushed us to buy another house in Mississippi because it was easier. And in this dream I took a ride on my ruck but it was going way faster and I was like wtf then I saw it wasn't mine some one had swapped my scooter for a gy6 swapped ruck. :ucrazy: :bugeye: :wasted: :wasted:
