so i picked up this ruck. very clean and very stock along w/ 2200 miles. i was stalking the website a couple months before i bought it deciding whether i really wanted one. most of the time i would be up reading until 2-3 in the morning. i waited to find a good deal then an 07 popped up for $1700. i had $1200 and he took it. i want to keep the off-road ability to my ruck so i dont plan on stretching it or lowering it. i am keepin it 50 w/ no swap whatsoever.
done a few practicality mods and i have a kn variator a/ 6g rollers and 5g sliders waiting to be put in along w/ a new kevlar belt.
definately going to mod it out more such as sound system, led underglow, air intake, yoshi trc cf exhaust, cdi, cam, bore, high gear, and definately suspension and disc brakes. if you have any of these for sale let me know.
cup holder was my first addition
i then enclosed the underseat area. it is just plastic from the frame of an ac filter for a house. we just got a new ac for our house and had one of them laying around. took it and was very easy to cut. best part was that it was free.
did the same for the headlights and made a rock guard. also relocated front blinkers.
went to my local chevron and took a milk crate from the back. cut it up and once again it was surprisingly easy to do.
also had some bike pegs laying around so i bought some bigger bolts and put them on. a tad too high but they are mainly for the passenger.
also added the buddy seat! last one at wally world and had no price. they did a price check for the wrong seat and i got half off =)
once again bought a cargo net at wally world for 5 bucks. helps the buddy seat not tilt back so much
cut up some small chain we had around to make a lock to lock down the seat. also had this compass keychain layin around in case i get "lost"
going to eventually copy my key and make a knife key but my cowbell keychain and toenail clippers are going to have to do.SO NOW THE ZUMA SWAP BEGINS
and i have
A ZUMA ENGINE READY FOR
an ATHENA CRANK and...
a STAGE 6 STREET RACE LIQUID COOLED CYLINDER KIT
also a LEO VINCE 70 CC PIPE
my ruckus as it stands or sits in the garage
i added an ammo box and put my wolo bad boy on the front of it
made a way for me to lock my valuables inside the ammo can
the contents of my ammo can contains a stage 6 oil measure bottle for PREMIX! also an extra battery in which i am going to use to power my security alarm(red thingy) and the amp which powers my speakers. also going to power my white led underglow
my zuma hand controls and speakers
my passenger seat and passenger pegs
my integrated tail light ordered from amazon for cheap
fuel pump and regulator
i got 3 sets of these white led strips to do my underglow for cheap
a blue strobe i have laying around that idk what to do with
sunday i got my new crank in and my stage 6 street race lc kit in the engine.
today i mounted the engine and started trying to clean up the wiring in the back. a few weeks ago i made a cargo pan out of diamond plate and painted it black, and took pictures of everything today. the front end is currently off since i am swapping it out for a zuma front end setup. also since i am eventually going to use a digital fuel gauge i took of the low fuel light and put my turn signal indicator light on it.
the helmet lock really isnt in that bad shape its just the lighting and camera. and the cargo pan looks much better in better lighting
i couldnt get a good picture of this either
today i mounted my homemade footrest
as well as put my gas tank on, and made a mount for my ignition coil.http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5212/538 ... 571b3f.jpg
i used the existing fuel pump mount holes, now i need to find a place to mount the mr.gasket fuel pump.4/07/2011 UPDATE
so since my last update i have mounted the fuel pump right above the ignition coil and have taken off the hideous ammo can. i am having trouble getting the water pump mounted. so im thinking that im just going to air cool it until i can figure out how i want the lc setup done. here is a picture of how it sits now with the zuma front end on
got it running, ran it about 50-60 miles and blew it up, my fault for not taking my time and being thourough with tuning, i just wanted to ride
