Picked up my Ruck new in aug 14' and yes I wanted to start with a new one. I have enclosed the seat, changed mirrors, modded rear lights, diy front pegs, windscreen, clipped the duckbill (oops, will replace back with stock), relocated PCV, removed coolant tank, TTO tach, KN vari, KN belt, 4.7 dopplers.

Spring 15' sl26's, deleted airbox, mnnthbx sp pipe

wish list: cdi, lower seat, engine turn seat panels

staying: floorboards :P

Currently only hitting 40-43 on flats unless mars in in retrograde. tuned weights to hit 40 @8500 most of the time. I would like just a bit more power, hoping intake and jetting will help a bit. or move to florida :ucrazy:

I recently learned that the stock pipe is a huge limiter. I was under the impression it was the intake :meh:

Ruck n Rola said he was rocking the airbox with the Briggs pipe & getting to 50's. Both are essential mods to go faster, though.

If those front pegs don't hold up, check out oldfart55's thread, he made his own & I really like 'em. Inexpensive & looks good.

Thanks BA, I hadn't heard much about the exhaust limiting, but RR knowledge is good to know. I will probably change the intake and rejet first anyway, it's dirt cheap co paired to an exhaust. As for the front pegs, they were just a proof of concept and I was planning on using a stiffer aluminum or steel anyway. As long as I don't stand on them, there fine. I did steal the concept from OF in the first place. Nice to finally have a build thread going!

Yeah, those pegs look nice, and I really like the two-tone battery box.

Hit me up for a cheap muffler if you decide that route!

You should come over anyway and check out the man cave!

I'm sure Version has a better option for you, but the common "cheap pipe" alternative is the Briggs.

I think he was referring to his man-cave, but hay, if you're hosting...
