guys we are here talking about 50ccm with quite overdimensed watercooling. I also painted my engine black and no issues at all- with the thermometer at the engine I could say that the engine could even run little bit hotter- its about 7O degrees celsius when "heated up" what I generally dont regard enough......

In my opinion, there is a difference between spray paint, his wrinkle finish and an automotive paint with clear. If you start building up paint thickness, you will start to lock in some of that heat. Just my Opinion.

No, its good that this issue was raised as when I decided to paint the engine heat reisstant black with a 3 coats of clear none of my mechs didnt raised any concerns so I was persuaded this is ok. I can imagine this could be issue on the aircooled engines but here it is just fine as the watercooling is just too effective for the tiny GET (when its cold here in Europe, it tooks sometimes even ten minutes to get on the working temperature and my friend who virtually lives on his zoomie is taping the radiator cover to keep the engine hotter....)

reach. I might get myself one of those oil dip sticks with some sort of
monitoring. Thanks for backing me up!

In other updates...my parcel is still held in customs. In meantime I have done
a few things, started to modify my exhaust in lack of better things to do.

Since I couldn't get my black grips off my bars, I took the simple route. A
carpet knife. Never, EVER getting another pair of those again. So I ordered
these, they look comfy and they're fastened with tiny pointy bolts, just like
the BTX billet grips.


I want it to be shorter, and I also do want it to be angled up. But I don't want
water to enter my system so some kind of protection has to be made, so I
started to draw and this is what I came up with.

you can buy a exhaust plug like this ^^^^ to plug your muffler when its parked

or you could build in the small tea strainer half ball at the end: that could look sick heh?:) Anyway, concerning the dipstick, yes this could help but for actual info what is going on under your ass is better termometer on the cooling fluid- got mine incorporated in the revmeter from koso....you just have to build the probe just behind the engine at the spot where the coolant enters the radiator to get most exact info....

Playing catch up? When you mod anything, like a radiator cover, then the rest of the bike needs to catch up...
Once you mod you tend not to stop.

Guys dont forget that Danko same as me live in Europe where the swaps are kinda illegal. Therefore we play with the given cards. Could be a waste of money, but shiet life is about having fun:) If I want go faster, Ill buy a bigger bike and to be honest Ill not rape this little bike with chinese crap:) nuff said!

but shiet life is about having fun" and it's not as easy as in the states, which saddens many, including me.
This will stay GET, and frankly I don't even look back at the money. I think I have spent more time on this than
money buying parts...the good thing is, you can always get more money - but the time you've spent will never
come back. Honestly I'm having a blast!! I don't have a family to take care of, I don't drink, no drugs, no nothing,
the bike is my addiction. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. And I also have to say that this project has soon been over
two years so it's nothing that happened over a month, which I have seen before and honestly cannot understand,
building and seeing it transform is what makes the whole thing for me.We do have a 4 wheeler and a 6 wheeler
to drive if I really want to go fast around in the woods or what not. My next project will probably be something
faster! But first I'm going to enjoy this little rascal, haha.

And it's just as you say, once something is switched out - the other parts, the rest needs to catch up.

That said. I finally got my huge parcel today and I spent countless hours in the garage just packing up everything,
touching, fondling every part (oh, ah~) and after starting to assemble and test fit things I just sat there and looked
at the polished parts mirror off on everything and happily sighed. I also dropped the rest of my things off at the
paint shop and told them what kind of paint I wanted, and it'll be done in a week or less. Well, with further ado...a
