I don't think the bolts themselves are that bad, it's just the way they seize in the controls so relentlessly! After I started to round out the first one and manage to snap my screwdriver twisting on the second one, I found that a few sharp whacks of a metal hammer on the butt end of the screwdriver was enough to break the bond between alloy and steel. Honda could avoid all these headaches they're causing people simply by greasing the threads a little at the factory. Every OEM bolt or screw I take out gets greased before going back in. A tiny smear on the first few threads is all it needs!

But yeah.... got nice stainless allen heads in there now. Only two of the original bolts came out unharmed. Shame I lost my trusty #2 in the battle :wasted:

All things electronic, old dub, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, bunch of 80s stuff on 7".... a lot of random bits and pieces. Over half of them are still in England.

I posted this in the artsy fartsy "post your collections" thread:

Thanks man. I used to have it mounted under the taillight, but it was hitting the tire (no fender at the time). I had the plate bent outwards for a while but didn't like it, so wanted to try out the fender mount as I hadn't seen it done before. I think the license plate spoils the look of the bike wherever it goes personally.

I'm in for Team Floorboard :highfive:

Fitted the TTO and been playing with variator weights.

It's held on with adhesive Velcro so I can remove it or permanently move it if I want.

Here's a little video going down a mountain road from ~3500ft elevation. Going up was sluggish but still fun. I live at sea level. The stock variator is on there at the moment with the Polini belt and rollers. I noticed on the way down the top speed with the Polini belt was 2 MPH faster than it used to be with the stock belt before hitting the limiter.

My Nokia phone camera doesn't like vibration so everything is a bit wavy, with the added waviness of me holding the phone in my left hand to record a 44 MPH one-handed downhill mountain run.

That last bit was a joke :wasted:

I forgot to mention old dub music (late 70s early 80s). Sometimes I listen to nothing else for days.

Nice! I have a few ska 7"s but would like more. Punk is cool too but I don't have any (more my wife's thing). Love some new wave though.

Got some Ruck things coming in the mail from Japan. In the mean time....

Just finished buttoning up another project - the rebuild of my Hoffman Strowler, rolling on some fresh wheels I laced up.
