You could drill the phillips section off the screw to make it tamper-resistant for helmet lock.

Damn dude that BMX looks like my old 87' GT Vertigo with the DOUBLE BEND FRAME :banger:

I miss that bike

It's a very early 1990 Pro Freestyle Tour, with the older 87-89 shaped 4130 frame & fork (very similar to the Vertigo). I also have a custom 1993 PFT and last year I sold my 1984 Pro Performer

I wanna be able to remove it if I change frames though, filling the cross and painting over it is just a deterrent really, I could just dig out the filler with an awl and unscrew it normally.

Nice find at a closing down dealership that was selling everything off cheap. Still not fitted!

Cleaned out old fork gunk, fitted MNNTHBX springs with plenty of fresh grease. The front end has improved.... in that it doesn't bottom out with the push of a finger anymore

Cool cargo shots of the ruck, man.

How much weight do you think you had on it in total, and how'd it go??
J/C, considering something similar soon!

I weigh a little under 150, and the added weight of my stuff was around 30lbs. Honestly I couldn't really tell the difference in performance, it still pulled nicely and I was still able to hit the limiter on flats, around 41-42mph. I went up some pretty steep hills, dropping to around 20mph, but there aren't any hills like that where I live so I can't compare. I would guess the extra weight would have made a noticeable difference there.

Performance wise, the little bastard is still stock. Need to get that variator on soon!

Good luck on your travels man :highfive:

Combining two of my favourite things; record shopping Rucking (unfortunately heading back to work though).

Third oil change and a gear oil change.

Been thinking about bars. I have to admit I like the riding position of the low seat / high stock bars combo and don't want to lose too much of that comfort. I'm considering a 4" rise bar clamped with a nice little short-reach flatland BMX stem I have knocking around. Should improve the look some and still be a pretty relaxed riding position.

Jimmy has been living the life of luxury in my living room for the past week or so. I used the time wisely to make some changes. Picked up a nice set of Renthal bars... nice to have a UK made part on there, being a fahkin' Londoner :wanker:

Relocated the horn. Fitted the bars and spent a while routing the cables into a satisfactory position. Fitted a Posh speedo mount to them that I also picked up recently, and relocated the turn signal indicator into the battery box. The Polini is now in, along with a Polini belt that came with three weights of sliders. Running the 5.5s at the moment but going to experiment higher and lower. TTO tach arrived today but haven't fitted it yet. Also put on my modded headlight bracket that I painted flat black. Big things happening round 'ere.

Love the new look and riding position :banascoot

Mix of cellphone and proper camera pics..

Horn re-wiring: removed the spade connectors from their sockets and pulled them free from the rest of the loom, so the horn is independently wired inside the battery box, not tethered to the headlight wiring outside.

Re-routed these indicator cables separately so the BB rear section has enough slack to come off with the indicator in it (or easily unplug)

Literally the most ghetto variator tool you'll ever see. I made it from aluminum that's been under a washing machine for years. It works.

I snapped the tip off a good CR-V #2 phillips screwdriver removing those bastard stock control screws.

At least you got the screws out. Honda screws suck! Are you replacing them with allen heads?

What kind of records you buy?
