I'm continuing a met build that I recently took new ownership of. So, I'm changing a few things up, replacing old parts with new. Also adding a new addition onto the beach house!

this is how she sits today..

This is by far my favorite scooter to ride, OMG I cant get enough of it! :ucrazy:
Started out as a quickly put together hardtail GET setup, but wayyy too slow :headbashing:
I decided real quick to do a not so quick refresh with a 180cc GY6 was on the agenda! Machining Motor mounts, wiring, etc... not fun!

I had an ATR mount i think off of a old ruckus setup that i hacked up a bit and reconfigured to fit.

I made an effort to keep the bike as short as possible, I swear..... :pissed:

That seems like Adequate Ground clearance....

Ok, Now I need a Running Motor.

Swapping Bearings sucks real bad.....I should have bought new ones, but i'm impatient. I stuffed wet rags in behind the bearings until they popped out!!!

Ported Big bore Head, Ready to GO!!!

Back to Making the bike complete. Decided to tear down all the plastics and Repaint them.

Super Stoked on geting the Exhaust Sorted( I ended up changing it later on...a few times) and Started figuring out the Wiring :(
Image

oh Man, It's coming together!!! The Wiring wasn't very difficult, I left the Stock ECU, fuel pump, etcc and just built a sub harness to run the GY6 (CDI, Stator, Coil,etc..) only need three wires from the stock harness, kill switch, Starter, and power. So simple!! Ilikethewoods helped me chop a good 2.5" off the stock front shocks!!!

Its time!!!
Image

First Cruise!!! This thing rips!! its like going from the GET to GY6 all over again!!! This is how a Metro should run!!!

It Wasn't Long Until I decided to Change the Header, It would drag real bad when turning right. So I opted for Much smaller tubing and tucked up as much as possible.
Image

I used my tubing bender to make a one piece header, holy shit I'm stoked!!! i didn't think it would work without crushing the pipe!!!

sweet looking Met! I noticed you have the basket mounted without visible screws showing from the front. How did you manage this? I'm trying to help my brother-in-law with his met.
