SMALL UPDATE

My bike needs a few more parts to reassemble. In the meantime, I was able to
swap out my girls frame and motor

Also bought a stock seat from a local and lowered it

New paint, stretch mount, and other goodies are in the future but she runs :banger:

UPDATE
I've done a lot to the bike and haven't keep you guys updated.

After getting the ruckus rear frame I bought a 9 inch stretch kit from RUCKS-R-US

Image

Everything bolted up

Image

Metropolitan throttle cable is too short so I'll be using one from a ruckus

Tore the bike down then got the front and rear frame ready for paint which includes cleaning, sanding, more cleaning, then primer

Painted, the color is a dark blue/purple

INFO ON THIS VIDEO

I really dislike the bulkiness and weight of the stock exhausts for these bikes so I ended up
chopping it off at the header.

I then grabbed some bent metropolitan handle bars and cut one handle side off. The inner diameter of the bar is a tiny bit bigger than the outer diameter of the exhaust so it slid right on the header.

Finally I used one of those metal circle clamps that get tight
using a flat head to secure it. The video is what it'll sound like completed :banger:

Going full circle with this metropolitan and ditching the ruckus rear end

Decided on sticking with the original metropolitan frame and plastic

DISASSEMBLY

Removed seat and frame

Unplugged rear harness connections to slide the rear apart then removed the rear ruckus frame

Image

Took any remaining metropolitan plastic off

Image

As well as the entire wire harness

Image

Reinstalled the metropolitan frame w/ a password jdm engine extension

I'll need to make a shock extension so that's next

So...turns out the shock extension I machined is too short as well as not angled enough

This is an issue because the shock is too much at an angle and isn't really doing its job

This is how the bike sat. When applied pressure, the motor hits the floor and the rear frame hits the rear tire :headbashing:

Made another extension, this time longer and with a notch cut out for more angle

How she sits now; less of an angle on the shock; not hitting the motor or rear frame

Tried installing a ruckus front wheel but it was way off centered and unsafe.

I'll be going a different route.

Yeah it is, I might just scrap the whole idea.

At least it's possible.

Maybe others might not care as much

Even though the wheel doesn't rub, the tire might.

(and yeah, not centered: handling will be squirrely)
