Post subject: Alex's Daily Mild Build #2
PostPosted: Tue Oct 28, 2014 11:43 pm
After a month of not being able to Ruck around in. I got the itch to get a Honda Grom but I just didn't get the same feeling I got over the Ruckus. The only thing I like about the Grom, is the idea to be able to cruise close to or over 60MPH. Finally, over 2 months I acquired a nice Ruckus at a decent price. Hopefully I can build this Ruckus up to my liking. I really loved my previous build but it was never really what I wanted.... Time will tell how this project goes.
I'll keep you guys posted with more information and pictures!

To start off, I had to go out of town once again to acquire this Ruckus. It was located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Roughly about 300 miles from here in El Paso, Texas. Once again its a 2006 Honda Ruckus with 407 miles on the odometer when purchased. Completely stock, except for a lowered seat frame, grips, gas tank cover and a MPAB brace w/ PWJDM pegs. The moment I sat on it and took it for a test ride, I missed how a stock Ruckus felt. Considering my previous build was a rock solid static ride.

Funny thing about me getting this Ruckus. Both Rucks were previously owned by females, identical mileage, practically look new, bought for the same price, same year and I had to go out of town for both.

On the way back!

On a side note, this is was my previous build I sold! I miss it but I know this build will be even better. Amen!

Initially before I acquired this Ruckus. I was really considering a swap but once I got to ride one again. I remember how much fun I had tuning the GET. I loved telling everyone its a 49cc.

Little sneak peak! Taking place at FLP with Evan! Huge shout out to the guy with awesome service! Definitely heard me out on my ideas!
Finally got my ideas into reality under construction, a Custom Set of 2-Piece CCW wheels!

Brain storming and ideas...

Possibly a Composimo or Mojo mount....
I'm definitely not a huge fan of a CNC billet crap, so I might just end up going with a Mojo.

I haven't really done much lately, but I got too many boxes in my room with new stuff for this build!
A little update on my wheels. Still need to buy my front forks and bars... but everything else is already here
