Well, my LR has been down for quite a while because I just can't figure out why it's drinking coolant (not leaking.) The last time it died on me I was stranded for quite a while so I haven't ridden it in months. I decided to try and change the filter, oil, sliders, belt, & coolant today to prep for our scooter rally this weekend but it appears I've lost my 17mm nut in the move. Not to mention my garage is a wreck because I haven't "moved in" and sorted everything out in its place. This is a GD nightmare, TBH. I just spent an hour on this project & most of the time was looking for shit. :headbashing:

I'm pretty frustrated after breaking an extension & then not being able to find my socket. I just dropped everything & came in to vent & have a bowl. I also need a larger (unknown) size socket for my BR rear wheel, so I guess I'll bus it out to find a Home Depot & some sockets.

This weekend is not looking good, unfortunately. I'd ride the LR to a meet, but wouldn't feel comfortable on a ride due to how unreliable it is. But, it'd at least be nice to see my crew :meh:

Not sure if the BR uses a different size nut, but the LR uses a 22mm.

Have you pulled the radiator out and checked the O ring on the pipe that goes into the block? I bet that's it.

C'mon- 4 days left!!! :banger:

It's def'ly larger than 22mm -- I tried that one & it's a bit too small.

That's a good idea. I pretty sure I put it back in correctly, but I suppose something could've gone wrong.

FYI: Answer is 24mm for the Big Ruck Rear Axle nut size.

It's not looking good for the weekend. I've made zero progress after tearing everything down. Went to HF to buy sockets & ended up leaving b/c the line was long & the lady was taking FOREVER with no resolution in sight. Maddening. I couldn't make it to HD, so I just ordered them off Amazon. Will get here tomorrow. May have time on Saturday to fix, but doubt it. Hopefully, I'll have a working scoot this Summer & can join in on rides. Maybe even make the events I missed last summer :meh:

Rola found someone riding up on me:
http://youtu.be/A-bLfTKWkK8

That was a cold day.

I finally got my daily tuned up and have been riding again. Still need to get the BR rear changed.

AFA the DevilRuck goes, swapping the SH just doesn't seem like a goal I can see through. I'm gonna go look at a path already pioneered like the Zuma or maybe the PDX if it ever materializes.

Next step: research Zuma swap again. Considering Scooter Swap Shop to help out since he's so close now

Just reading back a couple of pages... Is that a steel lower or one of those 80% done, aluminum things? I've heard mixed reviews on the 80% stuff. Let us know if it works.
