CN250 build by Ty-Dean Customs
New winter project

Donor bike: 2000 Honda Helix with only 7500 miles on it.
I have disassembled the Helix and have been selling off everything I don't plan on using.
Should recover nearly all of the purchase price by parting out the bike!
I am keeping the motor, wiring harness, controls and the radiator. Everything else has been or will be sold.
Image

Also found a Ruck for cheap....well most of a Ruck. The previous owner disassembled it for a GY6 build but he lost interest.
I bought everything except the motor for a great price.

Donor bike stripped down to the frame and a big pile of parts.

Motor up on the table next to the Ruck frame.

This is awesome!
We're both doing a 250 winter build and keeping it Honda!! :highfive:
You're ahead of me so far, I bought my Reflex but had to travel to Seattle the next day, so I haven't even had a chance to break my donor down.
I'll probably begin this weekend.

Following your build!!!

I'll be following your build as well.

I hope to pick up some steel after work today so I can start on the motor mount this weekend.

This will be sweet. Malossi makes a very nice complete cvt kit for the CN250, i run it on my Helix. The added bottom end is killer

I agree but it looks like most aftermarket variators for the CN250 are costly.
This looks interesting....but big $$$ as well

Started working on motor mount yesterday. I will continue on it today. I'll post pics once it's further along.

Also started to smooth front frame in the exposed areas around the tank cover.

Perforated aluminum and some edge trim was delivered yesterday. It will be fabricated into a radiator cover.

Stock Helix motor mount on the left. I will reuse the part on the right.

Image Image

Cut up the stock Ruck mount to reuse the nuts/bolts.

Mount tacked together

Test fit. Next I will add some links with bushings to keep the mount from rotating.
