2nd go around on an elite. My first had was stock besides a super sweet sound system . Well I sold it so I decided to build another this past summer . I wanted to build a little bit of a custom elite because no one really does . Should be fun .

found an 95 elite that was missing all rear plastics, exhaust, carb and intake boot, headlight and turn signals, brake lights and signals for the rear, bent front wheel , and most importantly, all locks and ignition switch. basically everything that actually costs the most to buy used or new. so i went on the hunt for used parts and ran the vin of the scooter i bought . the vin came back good so i started at key sets and worked my way from there . pictures to come. basically im going to mount some mtb bars,(ordered easton 100mm mount, 1 1/8 clamp will shim to 1 inch, and some ryd 2 inch rise bars) stretch motor mount(updated, just figuring longer shock option) , clean up the front a little and run a mini fatty. I have another front wheel but the brake cable mounting is different than the 95 models so i swapped hubs, plasti dipped the plastics i have gotten white, put most of it back together , got the scooter running, just missing all lights . so i decided to fab up some turn signals like they had for the honda spacy (down at the bottom and ill run a led bar or something of that sort . currently waiting on my molds to dry for the turn signals so i can mold some acrylic . updates to follow . on to the photos.

Cut the stock handlebar mount and tacked some mtb bars to see what it would look like. Will be mounting a easton ea70 1 1/8 inch stem with a shim, and ryd white bars with a 2 inch rise for a fixie bike. Already ordered, just waiting on the mailman. Image

Like to clean up the switches but who knows when. Need some time to mount the stretch swing arm but this will be it for at least a week or 2. R6 taillight is in but I need to figure wiring Image

Going to try mold some acrylic turn signal housings so I used some Pam grease to release the mold from the actual plastic covers that are at the bottom. I ended up using concrete for the mold .Image

To smooth out the concrete I laid some bondo over it. Will need 2-3 coats to get it looking decent enough so that when I lay the hot acrylic over the mold there will be nice and smooth. This is the first coat of bondo that I'll sand down before laying down another coat of bondo.Image

I also bought a r6 led taillight. I went ahead and mounted it behind seat, which was all good and fun until I went and pulled seat up and forgot that the wires went with it. So unfortunately I'll have to figure a different mounting spot. But looks pretty decent . Also I'm not getting any signal lights front or rear so that sucks. I'll have to run a continuity test I figure and check wires.Image

So the concrete I used for the molds was a bit too rocky lol. Quickcrete doesn't work that well. I started to sand down the bondo and everything seemed to be OK until I went too deep and the quickcrete basically just started showing through again. So I'm going to pick up some plaster for ceramic and try that. I was excited about the concrete molds because it would have allowed me to make numerous covers to offer up. Don't know if the ceramic molds will hold up as well, but will definitely be able to work them a bit more .
