Good morning,

I know many of you have jumped ship and swapped to GY6 due to the lack of power from a GET motor. Most have stayed to tune their GET motor with good and bad results. I stayed and messed with mine but, I wanted more power. I searched and searched for a piston kit, no luck! So, I had a talk with my buddy over at Weisco to design a piston specifically for me. I can not go into technical details as of right now. As I get closer to the finishing stages of my R&D I will then provide the needed informations to the public.
I would like to hear your thoughts about this soon to be released kit.

Thank you! :highfive:

Aren't they already making these kits? JC puts em in his big bore setups.

Yes, he is selling it as an entire motor kit. But, I wanted more compression without shaving the cylinder head. This will also have a redesigned piston. Again, this is a piston kit and nothing more.

That would be awesome!

because our compression is super low, ill bet this thing could run on 80 octane

Different than Chanitos piston which is also made by Wiseco?

*was made by Wiseco. It's not going to be a kit if it's just a piston FYI. The motor is going to need to be bored- ie not a kit per se.

Yes, my piston will be made by Weisco.

Whatever you guys want to call it, I will only be producing and selling the piston, rings, pins and head gasket.

Unfortunately, I can not have Weisco copy Chanito piston spec so it will be different in spec. The piston bore size my differ when results are back.

The boring can be done by a knowledgeable machine shop for a good price.

Again I am not here to take business away from JC. Just giving the consumer other options.

I still want to know if this will be in demand or not?

Like everything on TR, you will have a lot of interest, hell..I"m interested and I don't even have a GET motor...but your deciding factor will be price.

The price will be determined as I progress thru my R&D process. It will however be in the sub $350 range. That's just my estimate however, I usually estimate higher than the actual cost.

Hold your horses and read, I said that's just an estimate. Why don't you go and call Weisco to have them make you a piston and see if you are willing to purchase at least 10 pistons to get started. Or you can go to Tokyo parts. Com and purchase a kit for $450 or why not just purchase JC and Mx performance big bore motor. I am putting this together to solely give consumers other options. I'm sure I could release a part for dirt cheap without R&D but that's not me. Please keep my thread clean. Thank you!

Yo DUDES I cleaned up the thread to keep on topic ie. The Price!

I believe SlimRuck might be saving ya some Time & $$$ Sprite2011 cuz....
Next debate that will naturally pop up is someones gonna say is "At that price...Just go GY6, I did this & that to 49cc Blah, Blah, Blah BS"

Question... have you researched other GET BB Stories?
Seems like they have an issue with guzzling oil & headgaskets.

Why? :headbashing: Read all the threads that exist on the original development of the Chanito Big Bore Piston and you will realize that they already pushed as much out of that motor in regards to piston size as they could. I could tell you why but I think I'll let you go read. I think that time spent trying to make a stroker crank would be better served. Though I'm pretty sure that two people are beating you to the punch on that as well. I also think that it will take you a long time to recoup the investment that you will have to make for a round of pistons. The Big Bore doesn't get done very often so you have to ask yourself if it's really worth the effort... Good Luck in your endeavor.

There's already a 6Xcc and a 7Xcc out there and are going through the ringer. If you have not seen or assembled and run a 58cc then you are not ready to make a better piston.
