Yeah that's the one i have. quite good. You have to tweak it alot to get the best fuel air ratio on the i-map depending on your setup. Probably best to put it on a dyno for best results but i'm cheap and trial and error works good for me

p.s there are 2 parts to it.

1) the actual cdi that maps in the battery box (much tidier and safer than the polini)

2) the imap to tune settings that relay back to the cdi

Not wanting to speak out of turn...but...

Think Polini only removes rev limiter, Kitaco does this (three different maximum rev settings), then with the USB unit allows fuel injection levels to be altered (+/- 40%) to tune engine further when combined with lighter roller weights.

3 pre-set rev levels (with no fuel adjustment) - stock, 10k (I think) and 12k (from memory), then 4th option (if you have the USB link) to set rev limit (up to 15k I think) and alter fuel injection as mentioned.

This is not true, the polini increases the rev limit from somewhere around 8K to somewhere around 10k.
The book says (7800 > 9800).

True, but moving rev limit to 9800 is the same as removing it completely.

(Here we go...the world and his dog are now going to post saying how they have exceeded 10k revs, whilst riding up a steep hill, doing 50mph, without a polini CDI (max revs 9.8k apparently) and with 7X8g rollers in their stock variator)

No.. But when I duck on a flat piece of road, or go a bit downhill I do hit the rev limiter at a little over 10k rpm according to my Vapor..

so you can just install the cdi and dont have to use the imap? (only if you big bore to get full potential) would be nice to try something new ive noticed tokyoparts are doing more stuff for the FI models now, would be good to see more FI mods wander how its guna go :D
