It would be easier to find one on the Japanese mainland and ship it there or try one of the local dealers. The okinawan economy is much worse than the rest of Japan and due to the high sticker price of the Zoomer compared to other scooters I think they would be sort of rare over there.
This site will let you find used bike dealers but there are no zoomers in Okinawa. http://www.goobike.com/bike/honda__zoomer.html

o-cross website has all the scooters for sale all over the island. I just bought mine yesterday from a place in Urasoe. 100,000 yen for one with only 400km on the clock! Hit me up on ZY (istdercollen) or here is the link....

http://www.o-cross.net/user/bike/list?makerid[]=01&code[]=01154&search=type

then we can race down 58!

You can order a lot of stuff here from Kitaco, Daytona and others but you might need a friend to help you with ordering. I think domestic shipping in the states extends to the bases in Okinawa?
If you need help finding stuff let me know and I can try to help you as much as I can. :banger:

Finally made it here (Kadena), now how the heck do I go about registering the ruckus??? I've seen one ruckus by the flight line but don't know who it belongs to. It's white in color. Anyone's ruckus from this forum?

Isn't there an equivalent to the DMV on base?

Not on base...there's all these hoops you have to jump threw to get it registered. That's just Japan's laws, then there's the base. That another story in itself. :headbashing:

But with the help of the guys out here ill get it done....hoping to do it with in the next month. Finally got the ruckus running. Can't quite get her tuned. Coming from a higher altitude to pretty much sea level seems to make it run a little rough. Gonna try and re-jet the carb. Thanks for the help and hope to meet some Rucksters out here or as their know in J-pan, "Zoomers"... :banger:

getting it registered at the City Office isn't that bad. Truthfully the owner doesn't need to be there. Actually, its pretty damn scary if you ask me. depending on where you live, each city office has there own requirements. Like Uruma, gives all "scooter" owners a Japanese plate, even if American. No "B" plate.

If you military, need a copy of your ID front and back on one sheet, the title, your address. pretty much that's it. If you have someone do it for you, they just need a power of attorney. nothing official either. Your name, address, date of birth, and signature.

I've done a few of them, including my own Zoomer. Getting ready to do another one here in a few days. if you need some help or details.. LMK

Against DOD regulation to photocopy your CAC. Keep note of that, its a security violation.

If you plan on riding the Ruckus off base you most probably need to get compulsory insurance in case of an accident. You can usually buy it on one of the convenience stores and they give you a little sticker to put on your license plate.
A years worth is around 7200 yen but you can go up to 2-5 years which makes it a bit cheaper per year.

Hey I've been looking in the local Kadena area for a Ruck for quite some time and the cheapest I found was a non-running stocker missing a battery box for 190000¥ any idea on where to find one for a more reasonable price?

Hey man I think I saw you riding your blue/grayish ruck on Kadena today, if it was you that thing seems loud as hell, I heard it from the flight line!
