How to trim your 2007-2008 R1 Fender
Frequently Asked Questions:
What are these made for?Made and designed off of my 2007 Factory motor running a 12x8 3+4 4/136 wheel with (kymco hub) with a advan A048 165/55/12 tire
Will these work with other wheels and tires?Yes, This should work on MOST wheel/tire setups. You may have to notch the mounting bracket to accommodate your specific wheel tire combo depending on if your hub was milled down, if your using back spacers, running a thinner wheel...
Can you notch the bracket for me?No, im unable to take a Educated Guess on your setup. Its always best for you to modify the part to your specific setup.
Do you sell the fenders? No, you can find USED OEM fenders from the 2007-2008 Yamaha R1 on ebay. Make sure to find them with the BUSHINGS as the mount was designed to be used with bushings.
Can they be used without the bushings?I have no idea. I have never tried. I'm sure you can get it to work. Anything is possible
Do you offer custom powder coating colors? No, but im sure your local powder coating company would love your business.
Any discounts for buying more then 1If you buy 2 i can save you $5 in shipping. Orders of 3 or more i can work with you a little on price.
Will this work on GY6?I doubt it. They where designed for factory motors. Im sure you could modify it to make it worth with a GY6 motor. When i say modify it, i mean cut and weld or bolt new brackets holding on this bracket. The idea is there, You got a bracket that bolts securely and been bent to mold around the back side of the fender now just get that bracket to mount up with the rear of your motor.
Will i be making any for GY6?NO, i dont own a LONGcase gy6, Nor do i know of anyone with one within 60 miles of me.
Can i get them raw finish, and are they cheaper?YES i have a small amount in raw finish. They are the same price. Just send PM for that option. *Depending on what type of Tire and wheel slight modifications may be needed to make fender work with your setup. Bending or notching of bracket may be needed in some tire/wheel combos. Obviously i can not test every tire/wheel combo out there*
