So a most of the evening activities involve bars and drinking, and i was thinking it would be cool for those of us that either dont drink or cant go into bars it would be nice to have some activities planned. I have the advantage of being able to go home when bar time hits, but if there are other under 21ers or folks that dont drink, id like there to be stuff for us to do. If anyone has any ideas for what they want to do that would be cool, most my fun/party nights involve alcohol (or other substances...) so im no expert on sober fun.......i know that makes me sound like a total stoner and alcoholic but im not at all.

I've also considered this. There are probably some people who are also not 21, so a place that is exclusively a "bar" is not really a feasible option. There are some good places that serve local brews, but also have food and maybe even entertainment. Or maybe even just go to an area that has a number of choices available...

There are also those of us who don't drink
And we will find something else to do
You can always join in
Night rides in Seattle should be a must
Maybe even a movie

night rides would be good, but i think most of the drinking is happening post ride, so another ride might be a bit much. we can always just go get coffee somewhere, this is seattle after all.

One of our sponsors, Scooter Barn, would like to throw us a little get-together at the shop for post-ride eats, meets and greets... One idea was to do this after an island hop (if we're still planning to get on ferry's one of the days), end with a ride from Edmonds up to Lynnwood for the bash. This is at the shop, thus it's all-ages; and I don't think there will be alcohol there, either way.

Garrett (the Scooter Barn mgr) was talking about having a party at a local bar w/ a band, etc; however, I'm sure we can do something equally as fun outside of the bar... the weekend before last, he held an outdoor cinema night in the parking lot after our All-City Scooter Day. They had a popcorn maker, a grill w/ dogs and burgers, and couches and chairs all out in the parking lot. It was AWESOME. He said he's planning to do more things like that for us local scootsters, so that may be something cool for all-ages.

Additionally, I'm not sure any of us 21+ / drinkers are planning to go out bar-hopping every night of con. We'll need our rest of the all-important riding activities during the day.

A nice, summer night ride is always a good option...

I agree that most of these types of plans can be impromptu w/o problem.

i got a BRILLIANT idea!!!! :!:

the non-drinkers will organize a system where there is one car with a dedicated driver and 3-4 "DR"s (designated riders). the car will drive all the DRs to the bar where the over-21-rucksters are hanging out at, and will ride their scooters back to the sleep place, 3-4 at a time.

so by the time drinkers get wasted and can't ride their machines back, they are already back and come next morning, are ready for them to go! (to a gas station for more beer to quench the hangover).

you can send money for the idea to this paypal address: yourmomspaypal@paypal.com.

i didn't understand what you said, but i suspect some sort of sarcasm in your post.

ok, if you don't like the idea, so be it. but doing so would be a huge help to the drinkers. and in turn, they could fill up the sober people's tanks next morning or something.

but whatever, i ain't going to be at the CoN at all so i don't give a fuck.
