 Post subject: Fuel Delivery Problem
PostPosted: Mon Jun 18, 2012 6:10 pm
So my Ruck isn't running....

I have air bubbles coming out of my fuel pump. I have clear fuel line, so I can see had and air bubbles coming out the pump.

I've changed fuel pumps and installed new fuel filter. Still there.

Bike starts and a bubble near the fuel pump begins to form. Bubble grows and grows until there is no fuel in the line and of course it dies.

My last thought is maybe the small lenghts of fuel line from tank to filter and filter to pump is clogged or damaged.

Anyone have this problem before?

I replaced the fuel pump with a used one that a respected member sent me over a year ago. Both pumps do the same exact thing.

One more piece of information, my bike wouldn't even start until I removed the check valve. Now it starts like described earlier. No check valve now. Both pumps pitting air in the fuel line.

I can see air bubbles in the fluxing in the clear battlescooter fuel filter. Wtf?????

How is your fuel line routed did you change it's position from the
Factory setup. I think the hose routing is important..

Check you fuel line.

I recently had a crack form in my fuel line right after pump.

Is fuel dripping at all?

It's not dripping, but it might be my problem...

Cause I got sure bubbles somehow in my fuel filter and air bubbles blowing out my fuel pump into the fuel line. Hmmmmm........

Problem resolved yet?

Been dealing with similar issues on a known working pump, turned out to be a priming issue. The stock pump can be finicky if there is any air in the line or inside the pump. Do you have a clear line going from the tank to the pump as well? Can you confirm that there is no air in the line between the tank and pump? Including inside of the filter.
