^Gotcha! That's why I finally tried rejetting the other day. But the noise happened before and after rejetting. Still probably need to do some more jetting and definitely get a new spark plug

i have an 09 with a posh cdi that i put in from battle scooter. i installed it with the help of a mechanic about 2 years ago. my electric start still works. ever since i installed it, it has worked, i.e. it goes over 38, 52 mph on gps. i also have an aftermarket exhaust and know what the rev limiter sounded like. i ordered the unlimited rev posh cdi from battle scooter store. when i get above 45 mph it sounds like a errrrrrrrr.rrrrr.ptptttpptpttttt. eerrrrrrr.ppttptptpttpt. its an electrical noise/rattle coming from the cdi in the battery box. it almost seems like there is a rev limiter on the posh.(i know they sold a 10K rev limited one) maybe there was a mix up. i haven't had any issues with it just a little annoying when your trying to haul ass tucked next to the battery box with the noise. from what i have heard the feedback from posh is almost non existent and battle scooter doesn't sell them in single quantities anymore. issues like this might have something to do with it. this just sounds like the same issue so i wanted to throw in my 2 pennies.

Bringing this thread back... Mine just started doing this. I have KN variator, Posh cdi unlimited, and blue launch springs. Those are the only performance mods I have. When I get up to 41.8mph it starts "shuffling metal cards". Is this the cdi? Or can I tune away from the noise? Do you think taking the cdi off will help? I've taken it off before, but there is a huge difference in all around performance, so I'd like to keep the cdi on. This happens on flats. So it is very annoying! No WOT for me

what weights are you running? i run KN variator.. now that i have ncy cdi.. i only hear what you describe when im super high in the RPM range.. i believe it is the valves floating.. i basically back it down some.. however i am running 5g weights for faster acceleration and keeping speed on hills up here.. when i goto a flat area i change weights and p;ut heavier ones in.. i want to get a tach so i can monitor the RPMs but i know im way past the stock limit for sure.. doing 54 downhill and i hear it heh

Right now I'm running 5g/5.5g combo. I might try all 6g's and see if that helps. I'll report back when I switch them out

Just put the 6 g's in and now it starts "shuffling" at 43mph. So a little improvement.. Thanks for helping! Probably will up the weights a little bit more
