Hi guys,
Recently swapped GY6 and plug and play harness.
Bike rides great but runs out of gas about 6 minutes every time.
Also, the fuel light has been on constantly since the swap.
Just replaced the fuel pump with no change.

*edit: there is lots of gas in the tank. Seems as though the Fuel pump is not getting a signal to send more gas.

Does this sound famliar ? Need help guys

So it's useing 1.3 gallons of gas every six minutes Damn
Sounds like a carb problem once bowl is drained its not
Filling up.

Forgot to mention, there is lots of gas in the tank. Seems as though the Fuel pump is not getting a signal to send more gas.

ECU fixed the fuel pump not turning on when the float bowls were running out.

....rolling.

Just did a gy6 swap also and it is doing the same thing especially at full speed. Sucks the carb dry. Verified it by puttling a clear fuel line on. Am reaching down and flipping key off and then back on to recycle the pump and i can see fuel pump up the line. Wonder if a vacuum operated pump would work better?

for around $20 id say do it.... ive been running a mikuni vacuum pump with no problems (from the fuel pump that is)

I think I just need to do this:
the test lead hanging below the battery. This lead needs a pulse so the Ruckus ECM thinks the stock motor is in place and everything is still working correctly. Without this wire connected the ECM will shut off the fuel pump so connect it!

yes it pulls vacuum from the intake manifold.

ummmm you guys do realize when you do your swap, the stock fuel pump no longer works right? You have to switch to a vacuum fuel pump....

im running a mikuni rectangle vacuum pump....

Not if ur running a harness with ecu plug. Ecu will control stock fuel pump and run low fuel light as well.

Ok guys, can not vouch for exactly what KenithTDOT's issue will turn out to be.
My issue was the ECM shutting off the pump.
Once I hooked up as the Battlescooter swap wire directions describe all is well.

To clarify, I am running a 2011 GY6 motor out of a wrecked donor.
Am using the stock wire harness with the ECM and the stock fuel pump.
Followed Battlescooter's wire directions and all appears to be fine.
Rode it twice this morning for about 5 miles each.
Rode the scoot up to 55 mph a few times for a couple minutes each time.
It could have gone faster but I wanted to take it easy.

So there is not a need for an other than stock Ruckus fuel pump, it works great.
I have another I got from a parted Met and believe them to be the same pumps. Changed it out for the Ruckus pump and it worked fine as well so will keep it as a spair.
