2004 nps50 Ruckus surging idle

Initially the fuel pump was bad, replaced it. now it runs but the idle surges up and down until it eventually stalls out.

I cleaned the carb 2 times to verify all circuits were clean....spic and span clean

I also installed a new tps and did the reset...still surging

then I played with the air/fuel adjustment...the surging is still there but not as pronounced.

How is this fixed? anybody else have this problem?

Does anyone have a better jetting set up that works on a stock Ruckus?

Does it ever idle? Like after 5 or 10 minutes of neighborhood riding?

It runs smooth, it's just that the idle goes up and down, a continuous pattern. Every now and then it goes low enough to stall itself out.

I replaced the tps thinking it was that, no change, now I just ordered the auto bystarter.

My '03 has been doing this. It sat for a couple years, so I just think it's dirty. At a stop the throttle surges a little bit, sometimes it just idles a little fast. All cables seem to be ok- just idles weird. I havent really looked into it yet.

Has anyone else had a surging idle caused by a bad auto bystarter?

Kind of resurecting this but..

Would cold weather affect the bystarter? It's getting cold in Michigan and I get surging idle and sometimes it drops to like 1920-2000 after i let go off throttle and roll up to a red light/stop, other times it stays at 3k. Not sure what's going on :/
