I ended up with a 2012 Ruckus as part of a trade, I was told it was a 181cc GY6. it's heavily modified but I'm not sure what's all been done to it and it's been sitting for a while. Hoping to narrow down exactly what I have to start ordering parts. Still undecided what I'm going to do with it, It may end up either sitting till winter when I have time to mess with it or getting traded or sold/parted as I also have a Grom and this one may be too modded for the wife.

Got a modded ruck for sure, typlical gy stuff

Turtlehead
Pegs and kickstand
Handlebars
Tankcover
Key guard
Axel pullers

I mean you have the bike and compare it to a stock one (at your local dealer) and see what's different then search for that part and you can find out what you really got

That's a GY6, which is 150. Look around the head and the cylinder for a star logo, which means it could have Taida big bore parts to get it higher than 150.

I'd pop the engine off, take the head cover off and see if you have 57 or 54 mm spacing between the rods. If you pop the head off can measure your intake and exhaust ports. You will be able too look down the cylinder and see the piston, which should hopefully have a star on it as well. Measure across that cylinder. Then do the maths.

The thing is hat you can't really go more that 170-171cc with 54mm spacing. You got 57, then you can go alot higher and you'll need to dig a little more.

Of if it runs fine, don't mess with it.

Thanks, it gives me a start.. Its been sitting so getting the fuel drained and carb cleaned is first up. I'm usually not really into heavily modded stuff and would have rather had a little milder one for the wife but it could be fun for me..

I'd probably do it... lol... Gotta get a title for mine though.

I may end up getting rid of mine for another car project... Need a 70's 2 door Buick to put the motor out of my Skylark in when I switch it to a Big Block this winter.

I may part it out this weekend if I can work out identifying some parts. It's been difficult as I don't know whats stock and whats not.

The previous owner said it was running 70+ when he parked it.

I'm from Knoxville myself. I remember seeing it on Craigslist. I wouldn't mind looking at yours and possibly trading. I have a stock 2011
