I have an 03 ruckus I am waiting for it to die then swap an 06+ engine in it. I found an ECU online used Part Number GEZ-612 and figured I would get it since I'll need it eventually anyway and maybe squeak out a few MPH for a while. I plugged it up and I got nothing! Tried an ECU reset and got nothing. I plugged it into an 07 and got nothing again.

Am I missing something or is this thing just an expensive paper weight now???

You may have bought a bad ECU. I've used a 612 and 611 on older motors (06 -07)but I've never tried it on a pre 06 harness.

Just wondering, when you tried to start it did your ruck blow a fuse?

But yeah, it might be a bad ECU you bought.
Sounds like you already tested it. You put it in the 03 & 07 and nothing happened, right? :meh:
