Got little confused on the wording...but for the controls, you can shave that notch off instead of drilling a hole into your bars right? It will sit on there fine and not move around? I drilled the hole on my last bars, but don't want to on new ones.

You shouldnt need to drill holes for the 'controls'. I know a number of folks who didnt bother, including myself, and they dont budge at all.

This thread is really informative. As advised by a few , I used a dremel to fix a stripped screw and also to flaten the notch.

Ok went to do this today following the guide and the first VERY slow and VERY careful screw turn on the screw next to the throttle cable and...it is instantaneously shredded by my screwdriver and stripped beyond extraction. GG motherfucking honda and your cheap ass motherfucking screws. jesus christ.

Yup sounds about right man. The stupid screws on the throttle side are notorious for this...I dont know if anyone else experienced this but was it only the head of the screw that was seized up???? After snapping off the head I was able to free up the rest of the screw easily...both of them...

I ran into the same problem. Tried to dremel a flat head notch, stripped more. Tried a screw extractor, same effect. Finally out of frustration cranked up the speed on the drill and drilled the head off the screww with the extraxtor. The head of the bolt went flying off and I just worked it out with plyers. The moral of the story is, if all else fails, mangle it until it comes off.

You need to snap the head, Drill into it and just snap it off. From there you should be able to dig the loose part of the screw out by hand or with some odd tool...

It seems like the heads of the screws always seize up. From there you should be good. Do the same to both screws in needed because chances are both are siezed up..
