Well I'm back at it again. Finally got a chance to work on it again. I spoke with two Honda dealer and neither seem to sound like they knew what they were talking about. "Bring it in and we will look at it for $70/hour does not fit well in my book. I can look at it all I want for free.

I changed the fuel pump, drove it for about 30 min and BAM back to the same problem. Dying! So far I have drained and cleaned the tank, changed the tank float, cleaned all gas line, changed the filter, cleaned the carb like 4 times, now changed the fuel pump. How can I test the computer modules?

No. It will do the same when it's cold.

Like the man said, does it start back up if you vent the gas cap?

I started it and rode it for about 15-20 mins around the house. Finally it shuts of as if I ran out of gas. I opened the fuel tank and it will not start. I let it set for 5 mins and it's starts but acts as if it's flooded. I ride for less than one min and it dies again. I can't restart it now. Is there a oxygen sensor or throttle sensor?

Sure sounds like a stuck (or temporarily sticking) float in the carb (open or closed)
:ucrazy:

Yeah I was leaning that it needs a carb rebuild. After confirming its not vacuum locking I'm favoring the carb rebuild. Mine was just doing this, to really clean my carb good I turned the scooter off, drained the bowl and gas tank. I used a syringe to send seafoam into the carb bowl through the bowl drain until it was full. I turned the scoot on and tried to start to suck seafoam in deeper, I then drained the carb and pulled the jets and blew them out with 100psi air hose.I put a quart of fresh gas in and with the bowl off I used the fuel pump to pull the fresh gas while collecting the old dirty gas in a glass container to examine. I remounted everything and it works great.

My way is probably wrong and harmful to my scoot but after pulling those damn jets 3 times I was out of ideas. And the old gas in the lines had crap in it, I couldn't get it all out until flushing with the bowl off.

Dude, you're in Morgantown, NC, like the one just above Lenoir???

We (and in this case that's the collective WE, as in most of us?) were all over Morgantown this past weekend!
I past through it 4 times!

You should have brought your BR to Hickory and it would have been magically rebuilt in the parking lot...literally!!

It's almost impossible to diagnose a random running problem by email.....
the problem is, you can't take for granted even the slightest, most embarassingly obvious details.

Things an experienced ear would listen for automatically will often be overlooked....
with a fuel problem of any sort, the first 3 obvious causes are:
1) fuel quality (if its unknown, get rid of every drop of it and start with fresh gasoline)
2) fuel filter (its cheap to replace and if its doing its job after being exposed to trashy gas, your engine will act exactly as you have described)
3) fuel pump ...to insure it's working drain the carb bowl and listen when you turn the key on.....click,click,click?

this will also do the first of the carb tests, which is draining the fuel bowl to remove any water that may have condensed over the winter.....
interestingly enough, water in the bottom of the carb bowl will also give symptoms very similar to what you have described.

Check all these out and then update........
and dude, you truly missed the chance of lifetime by missing Hickory.

You would have had 25 Ruckus mechanics for 3 days, all arguing over what to check or modify next.

Well that's always my damn luck. This bike haas been a pain in the rumpus since I got it back from the ex-wife. BTW Morganton is below Lenoir haha. I have often thought of finding you since your not too far away and seeing if you could see whats up with this thing.

And I have done all of the 3 steps you suggested. SOS!

you're right of course....Morganton is west of Hickory and south of Lenoir, but still virtual backyard....
we were going in circles at times.

If you've done all those steps, then it sounds like a carb problem....
next round of questions!
1) does it have a new clean (not oily) air filter?
2) are there any modifications on the air box (is the snorkel flap is still covering half the opening?)
3) has the pilot screw or idle screw been adjusted recently?
4) was it set without using a tachometer?
5) have you done a plug check yet
if not, pull the old one to see what's happening and put in a brand new freshly gapped plug
make sure the plugboot is tight...shove it on the plug with a twisting motion, then twist it again when it seats
(the plugboot can bunch up and then push itself off the tip of the plug and cause random engine failure)

is the end of the old plug beige, grey or black?
a new plug is the cheapest diagnostic tool available!

it's too early to say, but so far base d on your description, it sounds like a fuel issue....
best case scenario.....you have trash in the carb and it just needs cleaning
worst case scenario.....you have a leaky diaphragm on the slide.
that usually means it starts and idles ok, but won't pull a load when warmed up since the slide won't lift reliably as the throttle is opened.

If you can haul it and get tired of working on it, let me know....
I'd be glad to take a look at it with you. It's welcome in my almost finished "hut".

Big Rucks are rare and I want to help keep them all on the road! :banger:

If BRed is willing and able to look a your BigRuckus, you need to take the time to make it happen.

All the internet suggestions and advice is nothing compared to a real hands on check up by someone so knowledgeable as Ed.

Really!
