They mostly carry the speed and strength helmets. Price wise im looking up to 200. There is a couple online i like but i wana try them on first. I like the bell vortex flying tiger also i like the agv k-3 rossi replica series. I know there is different shapes i think im gona want somethig a little more egg shaped so i could get the windscreen a litle further away from my face. But i dont know what brand and models have this shape?

On the motocross helmet idea is there saftey disadvantages to wearing them on the street? I am most comfortable in them because the jaw piece if further away from my face.

People who don't wear helmets cost everyone else money. Rights come with responsibilities. Don't want to wear a helmet? Drive a car.

FL has voted in no helmet laws, so its very much up to the rider here. I haven't owned a helmet with my ruck yet, but I do want one,.esp for winter riding :highfive:

I always enjoy how everyone seems to think that if the don't wear a helmet and die, that's their choice.....not for nutn, but what if u don't die? What if u live and require constant care? Is it my choice to not give u any of my hard earned tax dollars to pay for ur medical expenses and cost of living? :meh:

People I ride with wear helmets, regardless of engine size or speed. People I ride with are safe and cautious, don't jeopardize my well being by being unsafe. I don't jeopardize their well being by being unsafe. People who don't wear helmets are at significantly higher risk of severe head injuries and death. They don't all die. Many more non helmeted riders than helmeted riders have severe head injuries which result in a lifetime of medical expenses which in turn cause me to pay higher insurance rates and if they are careless enough to not wear a helmet, they are also more likely to be a danger to myself and others when riding. I'm not basing these observations on opinions or assumptions but cold hard facts. If I told you on your next ride some asshat was going to pull in out in front of you while you were wide open doing 50mph with no chance of stopping in time, that you would contact their vehicle full force and be thrown head first into a stationary object, would you want a good helmet to protect your brain? Probably so. You can't determine if and when that will happen. Nobody plans an accident. That is why smart riders protect their brains. Broken arms, legs, feet and hands mend pretty well. Cracked skulls don't mend the same. If your not wearing a quality helmet every time you ride you are playing with fire and most likely will eventually GET burned. You may GET lucky, maybe not. Chances of may not are more likely. How many members have had their license for 10 years or more and never had an accident in your car? Did you plan it? :meh:

I've been riding off and on for over 25 years.....have been down twice, both times not wearing a helmet and luckily on sumpn forgiving (there was no helmet law in Cali back then) I was young and dumb....now I consider myself old and not so smart :wasted:

I made that post yesterday, went for a ride and while hillbombing some asshat pulled right out in front of me. What was amazing was he was looking right at me, making eye contact when he decided he should have time to pull out. I had to lock the brakes up and somehow managed to keep it upright. If I hadn't been shaking so bad I would have made a U turn and kicked his fucking 1/4 panel in. There are idiots out there. They are stupid and posses valid drivers licenses. Just like Jesquivel said I was young and dumb....now I consider myself old and not so smart :wasted:. However, now I am wiser and know I'm not indestructible.
