get an alarm, switch the power when you dont need it. it will go off if your lock is even moved. problem solved

I use a Kryptonite lock as well, but I also installed an audiovox alarm I bought on amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-AA930-Se ... B002L14A6Q

This alarm is great, and fits perfectly in your battery box. Has 2 wires to hook to the battery and your on your way! Cost me $22. :banger:
It is super loud too, so if anyone messes with your ruck, you will know, and it will tell you if the alarm has gone off when you disarm it with the remote. A cheap buy for added security if you store it outdoors IMO

wish there was a way to make those audiovox units less sensitive.. even on the lowest setting, mine went off every time a truck went by.

I have never had an issue with mine getting set off. I have it on a middle sensitivity setting, and it will only go off if you jerk the bars or bump the ruck hard. I have it attached in the battery box with a sock around it because its so damn loud haha, and I think that helps to reduce the sensitivity of the unit.

As a cyclist, I am a HUGE fan of Abus. I personally rock an older model Abus Steel-O-Flex which is light weight yet fairly strong. The new ones have a different coating on the outside. I have the thickest model at the time and unfortunately it wont fit through the wheel, but will fit in other components..

There is also the Abus Bordo which I have seen to be very difficult to cut. It folds nicely and is made to be very theft resistant:

I use a Ulock that's alarmed w/ pager.. sometimes I use a 1" thick cable locks too... but I typically keep that at work with a plain Ulock (I keep the cable locked to the fence at work) but my alarm lock is what I use when shopping and stuff... has saved my ruck a few times and taught a few little kids not to touch others people's stuff...

The alarm is loud.. hurts your ears if next to it and the pager is awesome!
