Ballin dude! :banger: Keep at it! And keep showing your progress!

I am still debating on wether to skelly my Helix or not. As of right now, I'm leaning towards keeping it with the plastics, but we'll see, maybe as you get further on yours it will tilt my mind back the other way

thanks. i will. it would have been nice if the plastics were good. i like the look of the custom fusion. im broke so i went with this look. relocated the radiator. zip ties in the gauge cluster and headlight. need to get a dual light set up or an acerbis style motocross headlight. anybody have any ideas about cleaning up the wires and fuse box mess? i though of grabbing a junk scooter with good body and attempting a graft. dunno. probably not. pretty much a snotter at this point. it does seem to run good.

Yeah headlight, taillight, and dash need to go infavor of something else. The plus is that it opens up a shit load of handle bar options. It would look good with a set of Ruckus heads and a sweet LED tail. Some kind of a ruckus-type battery box might work also to hide some of that ugly under-shit.

I have been searching for an answer to this question maybe i haven't used the right phrase: The helix has a punched steel swing arm / muffler mount / strut mount on the right side of the bike. I have seen a lot of the other scoots on here without that swing arm. Can the helix be operated without that part? Or is it a supporting member of the bike. It seems the helix is not a very popular scooter to modify here in the states. All the Japanese websites have some really cool looking bikes but I don't see anything for them locally. I have never even seen another helix on the road or otherwise (well on the interweb).

@fullmetalscooter - I could not find a complete set of plastic on ePay. I could find it all separately. Lower fairings, upper fairings, tail light, lock set. Looks like an investment of 500+ after shipping and all. Then some of the inner plastic tabs are tweaked broken or mashed up. And to make it less of a dork mobile, I would need the lowering kit, low profile tires, nice muffler, chrome accents.... etc. I have $350 into this and it don't really make sense pouring a bunch of cash into this scoot. I doubt i will sell it.

I though you bought only the upper panels; for that price you got a great deal!!!

I second the bigger pics. I was thinking about stripping my reflex but it's too damn pretty intact... a helix I'd strip in a second :D
