Yeah! It felt good to be out riding again...even if it was a bit cold. The only issue is the bottom plastics...most of those brittle pieces of shit are trashed.

Installed the windshield (a few weeks ago) and the lowering springs today. Here's how it looks.

I like the original front shocks better. Just my opinion though.

I also like the handle bars without the panels on them. I don't think I would take mine off but I do like the look.

No transmission cover or did you just not put it on when you took the pic??

I don't really love either set of shocks over the other...just would've been nice to get what I thought I paid for instead of getting some mushy front springs. But it handles pretty good the way it's set up.


They look better than stock (but the gold color is lame). But it's just me being lazy from when I bought it... took them off cuz I put the tie-down strap around the handlebars...and just never put the panels back on. But I plan on getting different handlebars anyways.



I didn't know Helices had front badges. Where? Right on the nose?



They sure do... but it was laid down..so it's expected. Fortunately the lower plastics is the only thing real damaged. Just trying to figure out what my best option is to fix them all. And I broke the floor panel behind the foot peg, below the seat...so now that needs to be replaced because the bottom panel doesn't fit well back there anymore.

I have the trans cover...just haven't gotten around to putting it back on.
I was checking out the belt cuz it something is slipping, but the belt looks real good, and the pulley faces only have real small grooves. Clutch??

Yeah didn't look at those. Probably is though. I still need to clean the carb. out real good. And it might need a new auto choke...I use that leather glove on the driveway as a choke plate...

just chop a coil out of the lowered front shocks. that'll make it stiffer AND lower! double win!

I was thinking about doing that for both front and rear... they are both a little too soft for my fatass. But I don't have a way of compressing the coil to get it off. Or I could just make the whole thing ridged

Yeah the badges look sweet...but they had to cut corners and use those ugly ass Helix diamond stickers... haha
