Post subject: Turtlehead LED install issue [SOLVED]
PostPosted: Sun Apr 10, 2016 4:33 pm
I hooked up a turtlehead LED to my ruckus and am having some issues with the wiring. Brake light, and both blinkers work just fine. However, the running light does not work and for some reason my headlights are not turning on. I followed the wiring guide from the Ruck Shop, where I bought the light, and everything seems to be hooked up correctly. Anyone have a solution?

SOLVED: The headlights and running light share a 10amp fuse, which was blown. replaced it and wired the light with crimp connectors, everything is in working order.

Please tell me you are using crimp connectors. Twisted wires and electrical tape will never cut it. Especially on a vehicle!

Also it looks like you cut the ground wire "black" which should be spliced

Wiring issue, though I'd like to point out its not a Turtlehead, but a knockoff, as evidenced from the place of purchase / screenshot. Best of luck...

All right, I'm not the best with wiring, but I'll get some crimp connectors and have someone help me out with splicing the ground wires. I'm going to try to get my money back from the Ruck Shop for the knockoff light and order the real one from MNNTHBX.

Contacted the manufacturer, found out TRS and MNNTHBX both get them from the same place, so no difference between the lights. Figured out the issue though, the running light and headlights share a fuse, which was blown. All in working order now.
