Post subject: JC 20 Carb Jet too much? (whiffing sound on accel)
PostPosted: Sun Feb 05, 2012 9:49 am
I have installed a PC 20 but it seems that it may be that my air/fuel mixture is bad but I was also wondering if that could be because a jet size too big is installed...It's running at 89 now...I can crank it like a boss but idle / start up is a bitch...

I have a pretty decent Daytona exhaust...50cc ruckus '08

Any advice is welcome

no, but if it runs better with the choke on, you are too lean.
i always had to choke it to start it in the winter and sometimes in the summer.

So what would you suggest...Jetting down a little? or should I wait and just run the new carb for a week and see

Recheck all your connections..manifold..carb mount..for vacuum leaks..
You may be sucking air causing lean..

I think the slow is close.....and the main is a bit rich.......where's your needle at? the needle position made a big difference for me.

Sorta new to the whole carb thing so I've been playing with the screw which adjusts the needle...Dumb question. Clockwise for more fuel? or other way around?
