valves are set at 0.004 at the intake and 0.005 to the exhaust.
When i crank the bike with the sparkplug out and i press my thumb on the sparkplug hole i get pressure.
Spark plug is nice and blue when I ground it to the engine.
Spark plug is wet and at times when i crank the motor, smokes comes out of the exhaust.
When I had it started after taking it to a mechanic, It was running Way too rich and kept trying to die on me. It was popping like crazy and when i pulled out the plug it was black.
Its super easy to start when the motor has been running.
If the motor is cold it is almost impossible to start unless i press the starter for like 15-20 seconds.

I tried adjusting the float and its still not starting. There is fuel in the bowl so it looks like its getting fuel but maybe its getting too much somehow ?

Do you have electric start?
You could spray some starting fluid in the carb of it starts then it's a fuel issue

I did this exact same thing and mine started right up problem was I just couldn't get the pump to fill the bowl before the batterie would die

can i do this but with drops of gas ? i just ran out of carb cleaner

Don't mean to piggy back, but I'm having a similar issue and looks like we've tried the same stuff. New gy6 with 50 miles on it. Ran awesome for a few days in a row and then the next day, crank, crank, crank, won't start. Checked every single wire, plug, hose, cleaned the carb (which was brand new and spotless), have spark, have fuel, and totally lost.

So, I'm waiting for you to solve both of our problems

Try starting fluid to make sure it not loss of fuel

Do both of you guys have the fuel check valve on your fuel line?
Not saying that's the problem but that little peace helps out with starting for sure

Air, gas, spark & copression is what it needs to start.
Bypass the jets in the carb by using starting spray.

fyi the kickstart gear in the gy6 sometimes isnt aligned right so if u take it apart( its a bitch though) and put it back together it will kick easier

I've been trying starter fluid. Are you suggesting taking off the carb and then shooting in starter fluid?

no, you need the carb on there. Do you guys have vacuum pumps? If you do you can prime the carb by sucking on the vacuum line and fuel will flow into the carb. I'd make sure the carb is full. Do either of you guys have the ability to take video of the starting. It might help.

So when i try and start the bike is takes forever to get it started and when it is started it runs really rich for some reason but its got a stock pilot jet and have a 105 main jet.

Now the spark is nice and blue, there is fuel in the bowl of the carb.


The only things that i could think of is carb angle, autochoke or jetting.

What makes you say its rich?

when i rode it it was popping like crazy and when i would pull out the plug it would always come out black and sooty and eventually foul up and not let me start it unless i put a new plug in
