Hi folks,

I've got a black 2006 Vino and love it. But would rather be on something fuel injected as the cold months approach.

I'm curious: is it possible to swap out the carbureted system on my 2006 with a fuel injected one like the 2013-2015 Vinos have? If I understand correctly, they share exactly the same engine other than the fuel delivery system, so would hope it would be relatively simple to swap it out. But I really have no idea (<-- mechanical idiot)

It's not worth it. You would have to buy a new harness ecu all the fi stuff and probably loads of other things.

Good idea, but bot practical. If you had a complete donor bike, maybe.
Like NXTWEND said, along with the harness and ECU and injectors/intake, you'd need a new fuel pump, various sensors and their attaching hardware.
Not sure which sensors they use, but its at least a temp and o2 sensor. The Instrument panel would also be needed for it to function, unless you are good at hacking the ECU or some kind of bypass harness.
