I did too. the EFI is the best part. never have to worry about tuning. I live in the Bay Area and I use my to commute pretty daily.

I purchased my ruckus first. My zuma 125 is my backup.

My first and current scoot is a zuma 125. Wanted a ruckus to commute to work. Sales guy talked me into a z125. There's pros and cons of each bike. The ruckus has more aftermarket parts and options (Barbie of scooters) while the z125 parts are more expensive and less options. The zuma is fuel injected (reliable start & less maintainence)and your not on the throttle as hard to maintain 40-50mph, but then the ruckus is water cooled vs the zumas air cooled. I love my zuma and it starts everytime and can keep up with 45-50mph traffic no problem. Its kinda a Chevy vs Ford on which to buy. As far as looks and customizing the ruckus is better (something about that raw minimalist look), but as far as an everyday scooter that can zip around the city and some of the higher speed roads,I'd take a zuma 125.

I came from a ruckus, was a get then went gy, then went 180 big bore gy. I bought the zuma as a back up and ended up falling in love with the platform. Have alot less issues with the zuma. turn the key and it works. I would always encounter random little problems with the ruckus and would be constantly working on it, with the efi the zuma is more reliable and also is much easier because you dont have to tune other than a different injector for the big bore. Currently have 1000 miles on my rc big bore with no problems what so ever! love it.

I bought my Zuma125 with the intent to swap it into a Ruckus. After getting it, I debated just hopping up the Zuma. (Would have been way cheaper and easier.) Like someone else already stated, they both have their pros and cons. I personally prefer the looks of the Ruckus more. The Ruckus has a nice low ride height (along with the low gas tank) which help give it a lower center of gravity. The Zuma on the other hand, rides high. It is top-heavy and all the mods you do to it will not change that. With that said, (my opinion is that) the Ruckus has a better suited frame for handling. I ended up deciding to get the best of both worlds and put that Z125 powerplant into a Ruckus.

How about this comparison... PCX vs Zuma 125!

I've never riden a PCX but I'd take the zumas looks over the PCX. And yes I'm posting at 5am, getting ready for the ruckout!!!!

You need to see a PCX in person and ride it. Pics do not do it justice. They look way better in person. They ride better than a Zuma 125 with their lower center of gravity and taller/thinner wheels. (Down side, they cost more!)

I saw a PCX at ruckout 2013. Looks good but idk, just a little too much plastic. The front looks mean and aggressive but I think it looks too much like a Tmax or Morpheus. Don't get me wrong I know the ride and power is incomparable to a zuma or ruckus but for msrp of those kind of scoots I'd rather get a bike like a dual sport or cruiser.

Ruckus was my first bike and really liked it but power was not there for me so I bought a z125 and love it but wish it had the low center of gravity like the ruckus did. The ruckus has a special place in my heart but I love the fuel injection power speed of the zuma! It gets my fat butt up hills easily at 50 instead of 25 like the ruckus did and can cruise at 55 all day!

Way to deal with this situation is to have both :)
BUT if you had to GET only one...
Zuma125 is THE BEST CITY COMMUTER Scooter!!!
Disc Brakes, Storage, FI & can Ride 2 up!
