Ive really had my eye on a Bell 500 for bout 6 months now, but $100-$130 for a helmet whos mold has paid for itself decades ago...so I kinda fail to see ALL of the value that Bell projects with this price point. I notice there are atleast a dozen alternatives with similar styling, and most are more cost effective. Im interested in reviews of these alternatives...and Im also interested if the Bell bubble shield will button up to these alternatives, Im curious if the button locations are the same? LOL, Id really like this helmet...but its REALLY over the top, and the price is as high/bad as the 500.

KACHOWkeith wrote: alternative? http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/ ... =SLIsearchor still too pricey? there are reviews written on that site Thats the same as that Iron Maiden helmet above, given time, I could likely find one of those(Maiden) for around $100 also. BUT, then I see helmets like this GMax...and i wanna know if the Bell bubble will snap on.

imo the vega looks pretty damn similar to the 500 side by side. just different paint and the 500 has the leather cover over the padding.
you can probably look at them both at cycle gear, there is one in daytona and one in melbourne. hell they might have a bubble shield for you to see if it will fit
